Why should anyone be surprised at how Black schools are linked to incidents not on campus by white newspapers and reporters?
Based on their history, this should be expected.
Sometimes incidents occur four or five blocks away from JSU and the stupid newspaper, newscast or reporter often use the phrase....."near JSU", when it had not a damn thing to do with JSU.

well I went to my first lsu football game last week (my daughter is a freshman there). lsu and southern never need to play! Never Ever! After witnessing how the student section treats opponents I wouldn't ever bring my hbcu in there to play. I think it would get racial fast. youtube lsu student section chants. lsu's band can't even play neck anymore because of the obscenities.

I'm sure it was like trailer park trash and hood mixed in together. At one time, LSU's Black students had their own unofficial student section. White students weren't allowed to sit in that section.

The real is Sims shouldn't have been "classing up" with riff raff. As an LSU athlete you are a pillar of the Baton Rouge community. No need to be getting into "street beefs." Sometimes you got to walk away from certain situations and people.

I can’t help but notice this “deadly shooting” that happened Sunday a block away from Belhaven College was listed as “in a Jxn parking lot” but when something happens in a 3 sq mile radius of JSU it’s “person killed near Jackson State”

Those were local knuckle heads from the video. I just wish, we would take the same approach with George Zimmerman, the policeman that shot Alton Sterling, and other non-blacks.

Hell, y'all act like if his body dropped on Southern University and A&M College grass that's only considered ON CAMPUS.

What people are saying, Southern University's campus police do not have jurisdiction to police the area where he was killed, which is probably why they picked that location to duke it out. No police presents, which should have been either East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff or the City of Baton Rouge Police. The businesses on that side of the street pay their taxes directly to East Baton Rouge Parish and not to Southern University. Therefore, the lack of security falls on East Baton Rouge Parish and the City of Baton Rouge and not Southern University. Like I previously stated, LSU and the City of Baton Rouge have a serious problem when it comes to LSU's Black athletes getting into some kind of off-campus altercation, which has occurred quite frequently throughout Baton Rouge. Just this time, it happened in very close proximity to Southern University's campus, which ended in the death of a LSU athlete. When LSU have a big function on its campus, East Baton Rouge Parish and the City of Baton Rouge make sure the areas immediately outside its campus are well secured.

Thanks for mentioning Bill Wilkinson. I remember him and know about Livingston Parish. If I ever go to Belize, I will know to stay away from that establishment.

I call the I-12 corridor or the Northshores klan alley. You had Bill Wilkinson in Livingston Parish and David Duke in Mandeville/St. Tammany Parish.

I also remember when David Duke was an admitted klansman and an LSU student or recent LSU graduate. They wanted to have a rally at Bellaire High School, but it wound up being on Airline Highway.

You are right about I-12. One should read about the Black sheriff deputies' killings in Bogalusa in 1965.

IMO, those klans along the I-12 corridor were involved in drug trafficking in the 80's when Barry Seal was flying cocaine into the country. Barry Seal who grew up in Baton Rouge dad was a big time klansman. His number two man in-charge was from Slidell. I think the CIA intentionally hired them to do Reagan's dirty works. This is why a lot of them are Republicans today, such as David Duke.

LSU Basketball Player Killed near Southern University:

LSU men's basketball player Wayde Sims was killed in a shooting early Friday morning near the Southern University campus, according to Baton Rouge police.

WAFB-TV reported that Southern's campus was on lockdown for a period after the shooting.

The shooting reportedly took place at 12:25 a.m. at a Subway restaurant at 668 Harding Boulevard across from Southern's A.W. Mumford Stadium. Sims was transported to a local hospital where he died from a gunshot wound.

No boo the shame is on you black parents not teaching your kids to value life and how to act in public, how to go out and enjoy a party/concert...The Shame is black people not looking out for each other...The Shame is that, that kid died because he was kicking that cowards ass, another pussy ass $$$$$$ probably with an unlicensed weapon...maybe next year have your concerts in the afternoon since the underivable like to show up cause problems NEAR your campus...Rolling My DAMN EYES!
