Larry Bird or Lebron James?

Bird could score in many ways and wasn't as slow as you make it out to be. I watched this dude MANY a time against my Lakers and against Dr. J. Bird was a great passer and a pretty good rebounder also. Even had great post moves.

That last video I posted will hurt a lot of feelings and break a lot of hearts. :emlaugh:

I like Pippen as well but a heavy flaw was the televised game where he was to go in and take that final shot and he told Toni K. (can't spell his name) to go in for him and Toni missed the shot and the Bulls lost. That takes him out of the conversation.

Actually Kukoc made that shot to send them to OT. Pippen was just pissed off that day because he didn't get the call to shoot the ball. He grew up from that experience. Jordan came back and all was well. LOL.

Yep. I watched in horror how he did Dr J and the Sixers which was my team back then.

None of us are disputing that Bird is not a great player. That is a given. But compared to other great players, Bird just doesn't stack up. The only thing Bird had over Pippen was the jump shot. Everything else goes to Pippen. If not then name me anything else that Bird was better at.

It is a complete waste of time to compare LBJ to Bird. That's a damn insult to LBJ. LBJ is a once in a lifetime/generation player. Bird isn't once in a lifetime shat.

Sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about. I would take Bird any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I would take Bird over almost every other SF except LeBron. There's not a SF in today's game (not named LeBron) who can hold Bird's jock strap.

Agreed.

Plus Bird had it mentally. Dude was no punk. Too bad his Pacers team don't.

Y'all are on that good stuff. Pippen couldn't hold Bird's joke strap. What was Bird better at besides shooting?

Lebron is good. I like his game. But I disagree with him being a once in a lifetime type player. (heck, we've had that player with Jordan) And I disagree about Bird not even being mentioned with Lebron. Its no secret that Lebron has been MIA some. In clutch time, I damn shole don't recall Bird MIA. ( I used to HATE the Celtics)

thats bulls**t.... The thing that James had that Jordan nor Bird had is social media.... Nobody was tweeting, face booking, etc Bird or Jordans every move.

because all of that wasn't available at the time. Heck, in the next few years, I'm sure there will be new media available that will make tweeting, face booking seem antiquated. That won't make whoever is playing then better than Lebron . Just like tweeting facebooking doesn't make Lebron better than guys who played before him.

I shole wanna hear how the Lebron "Once in a Lifetime" Fan Club explain that disaster he had last night. It was beyond ugly. After not doing anything at all in a closeout game, against their top rival, on the road, and with them on the ropes, in the 4th quarter alone Lebron shot 3 air balls, missed a layup, turned the ball over, and finished with a whopping 7 points. :retard:
Nobody can have a great game everytime, but I shole don't expect a "once in a lifetime player" to look so awful and cost his team so dearly in such an important game.

Negro please. LBJ had one bad game and you batching. LBJ's track record in clutch games speak for itself. Ask Boston... Ask SA... Hell ask Indy for GOD sakes.

You have to look at the entire game. Lebron has been very clutch, especially during the last 3 seasons. And unlike Bird, he does EVERYTHING for his team. He's their best scorer, rebounder, facilitator AND defender. Have you seen this Heat team? Without James they're .500 at best.

Dude they damn near won the game last night "without" LeBron. They are still a top 3 NBA East team without LeBron.

But either way.... Bird was his team's best scorer, and a better rebounder than LeBron, more triple doubles through the same number of years than LeBron.

Not saying I'd take Bird over him, but yall are really selling Larry Legend short.

Right. I remember Bird telling opponents when the game was on the line that he was gonna get the ball, score and the Celtics win.

Killer instinct.

Lebron would crush Bird one on one. Bird is a great scorer but there is no comparison in my eyes. I would take Bron over Bird any day of the week and Ive seen both players play.

Hell no. Wade is not the same player from the past and Bosh is overrated. There is no way in hell this team is top three in the East without LeBron.
