and in case you didn't know it, Jordan used to lead the league in scoring too. The difference is Jordan was doing it while LEADING his team to championships.

See what you dont understand is (cause white folks aint told you this), the fact that Kobe can carry Kwame Browns sorry ass to the playoffs in the west makes him great. That in itself is a great accomplishment. That partially makes him the GOAT. With no help, not another all star on the team, Kobe drags the Lakers to the playoffs in the west.

Sacremento, Utah, the Cippers, Phoenix, Houston, Denver, San Antonio and Dallas all have mutiple All Stars on the team. Kobe is alone and manages to drag those bums into the playoffs every year all by himself.

Another thing you dont realize is, David Stern is mad that the Lakers arent Memphis or Charlotte by now. He wants Kobe to fail, the greatness of Kobe wont let the Lakers die a painful death. So stop talking about what he hasnt done in the playoffs without any help. Kobe proves his greatness in the 82 game season. Now if he ever gets any help, one other all star, he will win the championship.

Stern does not want that to happen. Thats why he is blocking the KG or the kid from Indy trade.

Shaq aint schit. He didnt do a damn thing but lay up on Kobe then like he laying up on Wade now.

Wade gets injured and the great Shaq, the 30 million dollar Shaq, cant win one damn playoff game. Kobe carried those Laker teams in the regular season and in the playoffs. Shaq was just enough force to make a difference and feed off Kobe, just like he does now with Wade.

When Wade goes down, so go the Heat.

Come on GR. Why would Stern want one of his biggest media markets not to succeed? Hell if he could send everybody to LA, Boston and New York he would. He aint the one blocking the KG trade. Glen Taylor and KG are blocking KG trades. Don't know why yall can't get Jermaine Oneal. Maybe ole Bird hates yall so much from his Celtic days that he aint going to trade anybody to yall. I guess the same could be said for McHale here in Minnesota. But to say Stern has it in for the Lakers. I doubt that. One thing I can agree with Jay Rob on is that the NBA Finals without teams like the Lakers are not as profitable for the NBA. Even a sad arse Lakers team with Ebok would draw more ratings than San Antonio who plays better ball. LA vs Cleveland would have drawn more TV fans. So if anything Stern is probably pissed to hear Kobe doing all that whining in LA and wants him to shut up and play ball. I love your conspiracy theories. Stern may not like Kobe personally but he loves seeing the Lakers win. That is good business for the league. I don't think I can ever remember when Boston, Philly, LA and New York were all this sad at the same time.

Uh Jay Rob, you have said yourself the Lakers are not good. Being the 8th seed aint nothing to write home about. Your team might be slightly better than those teams. Hell looks like NY may have more talent overall than LA but coaching is their issue. But again when was the last time that LA , Boston, Philly and New York all were not contenders at the same time or at least a threat? That was the question I posed. Aint no way Stern is happy about those huge media markets having teams that are not championship caliber all at the same time. Aint good business for the NBA. San Antonio won the NBA title and it is like nobody is even talking about them. LeBron and nem got swept and he is still getting more run than the entire SA team. Now do you think if LA, Boston, NY or Philly had won the NBA title that there would be more fan fare?

Both. '87 - '90 led the league in scoring without a title. '91 - '93 and '96 - '98 led the league in scoring AND won a title....
