Bill Russel and Wilt Chamberlin wasnt isht compared to players today. Bill Russel wouldnt even make a team today. both of them played against sorry ass short white boys in an era when you were only allowed to have so many black players on the floor. The same goes for Jim Brown as a running back. Wilt would make a team today only because of his size. Yeah he scored a lot of points, but you have to consider who he was playing against. hell he was playing against guys named Stien and Horowitz. Those guys were great for their ERA only.

You also have to put what Jordan did in the same perspective. Jordon and the Bulls thrived in an era of expansion. The NBA was not that good at the time and Stern promoted Michael as the face of the NBA. He was not going to let Jordan lose. Having 4 expansion teams diluted the talent pool which resulted in a lot of bad teams.

The NBA was so bad in the mid 90s that a 6th place Houston team won championships. The NBA was so bad that the Bulls almost won the east while Jordan was suspended....oops I mean while Jordan was spending more time with his family....oops I mean while Jordan was playing minor league baseball to help him spend more time with his family.....I guess. Oh well...

Some folks love to embarass themselves and their school. The dude was 6'9 and weighed ONLY 215 pounds. Shaq weighs 325 pounds and is seven feet tall. Do you think Russell would dominate Shaq or Olajuwon or Malone or Kareem? Dude just stop it, and get real.

Dumbass, it says in your OWN article that he was a shade over 6'9. You need to learn how to read before you post garbage.

El Stupido. Are we talking about College or NBA Dummy? Ben Wallace is 240 pounds If Bill Russell was playing today he could easily add 15-20 pounds. That's no issue.

Right. Russell was one of the most dominant big men in the league at that time partially with the help of his great athleticism and superior defense. Russell had the leadership ability, where it took Chamberland some years to realize that great stats don't always lead to championships. When he utilized teamwork, the Sixers broke the string of championships by the Celtics in 1966.
The main difference between Jordan and Bryant is this: trial by fire. Jordan came into an organization full of coke heads and took them to the playoffs. Jordan was often ostracized by his teammates and later had to help develop rookies Pippen from Central Arkansas State and Horace Grant. Jordan took his teams up against Boston and Detroit, who were the most dominant teams in the East at the time. Jordan was so dominant, that John Daly and the Pistons instituted the Jordan Rules to try to stymie him. Nevertheless, as he persevered and his team matured and eventually went on their first streak of three peats.
Jordan's and the Bulls impact was so large on the East, that the East has never been the same. I mean, look at Boston.

Kobe came into a Laker organization in the midst of resurgence. Although he and Shaq had their tough years together, they were still title contenders and needed Jordan's coach to take them to the promiseland, along with a slew of all stars. I guess its the Gary Buss way.

IMO, Magic is a much greater Laker than Kobe. Game 6 of the 1980 finals is my proof, and I rest my case...
