JSU Tuba Players

I'm really not that all surprised by that....lol

Never knew why keeping lines straight wasn't one of the main things practiced in bands shows....

Crooked lines, DOING A FAST BREAK...... Not even going into a slant during a down-field drill........

But I tellz you wut..... Dey SHOL' IZ LOWD DIS YEAR BOI!!!!:shame:

This is one of the main reasons you all will continue to produce crooked line...

The first step is admitting it...

It would be okay I guess if the floating JSU "S" was a 'crooked letter', bein' the from the "Sipp, right? It can be their new gimmick......

"Straight lines is played out..... We make ours crooked on purpose, cuz we from da 'Sipp!"

I think you may be on to something man...

The Sonic Boom have not had straight lines since the Dowell Taylor era.

We had straight lines in the beginning of the year... with the band now in flux and losing members, we may be feeling the effects. I saw several holes out there.

This is a better angle

TP the fewer members the easier it is to manage a band to execute straight lines, you did know that right?

I'm not knocking the two kids that fell because they may have been the only two TRYING to pick their dayum feet up..
Any other circumstance, FALLING in a show is FUNNY as SHCIT...No mater what band... Because if you ain't out there trying to OVER do something and keep the FOCUS of BAND in mind you ain't about to fall during a show.. That shcit USUALLY happens when somebody is trying to be a dayum super star trying to show off... The other case is the kid(s) may be out of shape and passed out (which ain't funny)

Dude, take JSU's less than perfect drill that I just posted...watch the whole thing and then post me something of AAMU that can top it. In fact, post anything from ANY SWAC band that can top it.

You forgot to say Aside from SU again....

If UAPB is anything close to what they were the last few years, JSU ain't out drilling them neither...

No dummy...not if they just learning the drill. But since SU don't learn new drills, maybe you don't know that. :snicker:

Tp stop "trying" to challenge me when it come to band.. I know you are only doing this to take notes and schit but at least have the "pride" to ask dude...

Anyone that KNOW band knows if you are marching 8-5 and you are taught how to march it CORRECTLY in band camp, the lesser the members the EASIER it is to keep straight lines...

Next you are going to say "because jsu lost members we have less so they are not used to marching in a straight line with FEWER people..." :retard:

And to address your other bone headed comment...

Regardless if the show is OLD or NEW, it is STILL a REAL challenge to KEEP your lines straight if you were not taught correctly about SPACING in band camp...

Ima start charging your dumb ass for these lessons Tp, keep it up..

JSU drilled well. Post the peanut butter halftime and I bet they got outdrilled. The problem with that drill was in the beginning....the spacing was off 'cause people were missing.

...and they probably not hazing again yet...

I just watched that UAPB drill. YOu can watch it too if you want to hurt your eyes. The last 30% of the drill was okay. But the only part that looked good was some stuff that looked like a rip-off from SU. Then the wanna-be J-Settes came out there. They did good tho.

I'll say this about the crooked lines...

Straight lines are a product of how you practice. If you don't stress proper spacing and alignment (and 'guiding' off the guy next to you) during rehearsal, you'll never have it during halftime..

I don't think Liddell ever really stressed it. Taylor, Adams and Duplessis stressed it when I was in the Boom. We'd march a show over and over and over, until we got the spacing and the 'uniformity' just right. We'd practice for hours just on marching 'as a unit' either as a squad or company front or combinations of squads and company fronts. And it paid off when the product on the field was as precise as it was. We weren't perfect but we sought perfection.

By watching SU's band, it's obvious they stress proper spacing and alignment, and their drill execution is always nearly flawless. That's a product of how they practice..

The Boom has lacked that precision for awhile now. But we know what'll fix it. They just choose not to fix it, I guess. :smh:
