Dahill, Wayne Madkin can stay where he is. No one here care's about MSU's current state or his thoughts on it.

Bayou Classic, 2 D-1 opponent, national TV or Soul Bowl with an average QB

Soul Bowl, Southern Heritage with an average QB & Sonic Boom of the South or Ram getting raped by 2 D1 opponents on T.V., by their rival on T.V. and that side show band of dancing monkeys (all while Spears sues the pants off them).

Why didnt you comment on the Spears case? And I'm not talkin Britney, cause her husband received his money. I'm talking about her 5th cousin down the line.

All of that is fine and good but you have no fans and these kids are not star struck over taking 1-A azz whoopings. You could have saved that one. Some SU fans prefer the JSU game over GSU and GSU has no equivalent to the SHC...oh the Cotton Bowl vs lowly PV.... :lmao:

That kid was at the JSU spring game and saw the enthusiasm of JSU fans. He would not get that at Gram. :smash:

Here is an idea. Why don't you market the JSU game to your fans since they seem to need some incentive to come to Jackson. Try to get them to roll to Jacktown like we roll to Grambling. In fact, ask them to wear gold and TRY to take over like Southern. I know GSU fans have no jobs over there in the country but maybe if they all car-pool, they can afford the gas.

Mississippi State aint had a decent qb since my neighbor and classmate Wayne Madkin played for MSU. If you really want to hear some laughs... let him start talking about the state of Mississippi State football... matter of fact Im going to tell him to come visit us on swacpage next time I talk to him.

Mississipi State football was not shat outside of that 1 year when he was there.
The media used to eat his arse up also...................SO DID STATE FANS.
Tell him don't lie to MISSISSIPPI residents.

1 year??? Keep in mind I neva said he was great.. I said DECENT.... What has Mississippi State done since then? The media may have ate him up but MSU was winning games.

MSU senior quarterback Wayne Madkin has concluded his career at or near the top of all of State's passing categories. Madkin completed 462-of-887 passes (.521) for 6,336 yards, 34 touchdowns as the Bulldogs' signal-caller. He stands atop the MSU all-time list in passing yardage, pass completions and pass attempts. He also stands second all-time in touchdown passes, trailing only Derrick Taite (38; 1993-96). His career came to a close when he suffered a broken bone under his big toe against Alabama and underwent surgery Friday, Nov. 17.

I watched the kid play, and from an athlete standpoint he is waaaaaaay.............better than Jimmy Oliver. Rutland is mobile (if he's healthy and has a VERY strong arm). The thing with Rutland is he isn't very accurate and it may take him a while to learn the offense, because he was a State 2 years and still seemed to just not get or understand the offense.

How can he be a waaaayyyy better athlete than a quarterback who was third in passing and FIRST in rushing? Please explain.

how bout u look at what u just typed and ask yourself what does that have to do with how good of an athlete he is????

P.S. Emmitt Smith ranks as the NFL's leading rusher and nobody with common sense will say that he was a better ATHLETE than Barry Sanders. So with that stated, ur statement holds no weight.

All this still ain't sayin' much. Even in that fluke year they went 9-2 (I say fluke b/c they didn't play Fla, UGa, or Tenn that year and Bama and Auburn were down) Rob Morgan had to come off the bench and bail the team out. And that defense was fierce.

By the time his senior year rolled around, the Bulldog Nation was calling for Kevin Fant to get the nod....and so were his teammates. So ask MS State football about him. LOL.

Not that I care, but just an accurate observation. Good to see Frat is doing well, though. :D

Dude, you'll see real soon. If Oliver doesnt keep his head in the game, you'll be seeing one of 2 6ft+ guys or a multi-talented "Mike Vick" with a strong arm.

I guess the JSU people just like to recycle this self-smack. We heard this before regarding another "talented" qb. I think that qb got lost somewhere and GR had to go looking for him and never found him.

For the record, if these qb are like Vick, they are more hype than talented and Oliver is still your best bet.
