JSU Offensive Staff including the S&C coach

I'm not gone sit here like other JSU posters and try to defend or make sense of Hendrick possibly being the head coach, its sad that we are basing this off being better than hughes or hal, smh a low bar, Ashley and bynum didnt want to do the work and make a bold hire, all this in Ashley I trust is BS, Bynum still the AD. Smh Jackson State is still failing at Hiring competent folk.
Assistant coaches turn out to be better than the head coach several times. You can't go by what the head coach does and attach that to the style of the assistant coach.
Hendrick's style made good sense. Good defense; ball control offense and stable special teams.
He just didn't have a stable QB or offensive coordinator who knew what he was doing.
Hendrick was the only bright spot and promising coach JSU's had over the last six years.
And how do we know that the potential candidates the AD had in mind were available? We don't know that.
And please, there's no need to compare your comments to what other JSU folks have stated.

Ha. Being honest man. Meyers great person to have if you trying to grow enrollment and expand the footprint but when it comes to the rules, somebody has to be there to stop her. She would make a great number 2.

It sounded like she was just a good go getter who didn't understand fiscal responsiblities. That could be dangerous if left unchecked. LOL!!!

She was great with fiscal responsibilities. Everything she spent was worth it. It was mainly for things we NEEDED and if IHL wasnt going to pay for, she used the reserves for it. We have those things now because of her and it benefits the students. She was just led astray by the street committee when it came to athletics. Granted, she never wanted OMJ. That was all Fuller.

I guess she allowed the university to out grow the pace the IHL wanted it to, which a good leader would know their limits when it comes to dealing with their higher ups.

I just want us to make hires that will be good and healthy for the kids man on both the offensive side and the defensive side. This past season their was a lot of drama within the coaching staff with that offensive air specialist we brought in, Hendricks dislike of the offensive coordinator and Hughes practice schedule and in-game decisions, and multiple coaches being rightfully fired in season. Too much in-season change and to keep it 100 we're fortunate to have gone 5-5 that resiliency is why I said jsu has promise.... I'm not settling with 5-5 as long as Alcorn, Grambling, and Southern running the swac... We have the damn talent .. We need a new head coach period... Hendricks is our dc... period. It's time to get back to jsu football.... leave them politics and agendas out of this.... I'm telling yall with what we have returning, if we don't win the east next year …., it's a failure.

The smoke signals were put out there but most of your fellow alums were too busy trolling

Believe it or not, I want yall to make the best hire. Only time will tell

Interesting points on... well just about everything last night on TSL with Rob Jay. I don't know if any of you guys follow the show but here's a link:

yeah but fugg them. Why would they not want us to grow. Regardless when our numbers go back up, we have the infrastructure for it.

Define infrastructure.
We had to rent out 2 motels to house all the students.

Not dorms. IHL wouldnt approve dorms and Meyers didnt have petty cash for that.. LOL Im talking about more science lab space, network updates for internet, etc...... Meyers spent money on things the kids needed for education. We had over 1000 biology majors and no lab space for them. We had the ipad initiative but not the infrastructure to handle it. That's just two examples but its the SMALL things that people dont talk about but STUDENTS complain about that she put money into. Hopefully we get the dorms next.

Other than the ipad grant. These upgrades didn't happen under Meyers.
