JSU may have a hell of a back court next year if things work out!

They already have Dundrecous Nelson and now possibly DeVille Smith as well......

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State says freshman guard DeVille Smith has withdrawn from school, the first departure since Rick Stansbury stepped down as coach at the end of the season.

The point guard is expected to transfer to another school. If his grades are in order, the destination may be Jackson State, said Wayne Brent, Smith’s coach at Callaway High.

“I talked to him last week and I talked to him about making sure he had his grades together so he’d have the option to transfer or go to junior college if he didn’t like the new coach,â€￾ Brent said.

Smith, a Jackson native, averaged 4.2 points and 1.6 rebounds in 26 games this season. He left campus twice during his freshman year, missing seven games because of headaches and dizziness, according to MSU officials.

Health does not appear to be the driving force behind his decision.

“I think DeVille just wants to go somewhere else,â€￾ Brent said. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with him.â€￾

Not likely.

He spent two weeks in the hospital this season. The chances that he has the grades to transfer to JSU are very slim. Not to mention having to sit out a year.

He'll probably be at a juco next year.

Some people are saying the kid is bipolar.

Serious mental health issues.

He's undoubtedly a very talented basketball player though.

Probably just homesick and was not as GROWN as he thought he was.

Grades might have him at Holmes or Hinds CC

Let him go.
Get sick of these mofo's using our schools as a place of last chance after they won't even look our way during the recruiting process.

Why they gave you your last chance?

So now you gonna follow me around every thread? I thought you didn't want mofo's posting to you, about nothing you support. This is a JSU thread. Why you here. The AINT's thread is somewhere over >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.

Please go back before all the  starts again.

I think you're getting a little confused again. Did you forget to take your meds?

I didn't know he was on meds. That explains why he has been following me around. Very few of those Jsu people are screwed on tight and without their med, heaven knows what they will do next. :emlaugh:

Now I got 2 annoying byotches following me. You two go back to the PM's or Jag forum, get another "posting plan" and come back with more stale smack on the Sports Board.

I must have missed all the Housewives of baton Rouge drama
Why bring that into this thread though? :|

See what you've started PV-Pride. Trying to be non-biased and keep us up to date on Swac Hoops and this is what we get

I'm not sure homesick was the problem. The kid was less than two hours away from home. It's not like like he was on the west coast or in another country. He could have gone home whenever he got ready. Even during the week. :noidea:

I'm thinking the kid has some real medical issues. Lots of kids get homesick and don't spend two weeks in the hospital. Especially when you're a college athlete and spend a week in the hospital on two separate occasions DURING the season. It just doesn't add up to homesickness to me. :smh:

Whatever it is, we need to PASS on this one.
You heard it hear first.

whatever his illness is i hope he gets well soon but if its anything serious then maybe he needs to take a break from basketball/school etc and seek help and get healthy

If JSU people starting reporting you sorry mofo's, you would say we were acting childish. The JSU hate is funny tho.
