I watched WLBT Ch 3 news tonight. They announced that JSU hires Edward Rigby as their OC from Hinds Community College and Joe Jefferson from Bethel College as the O-Lines Coach

Actually Bethel is in Kansas. Jefferson was the first coach hired, I actually like him on staff as a position coach. I don't know much about Rigby. Albany State's OC was interviewed but Bell decided to go another way.

They know Jackson State is coming off the program's first back-to-back losing seasons in more than three decades. They know head coach James Bell is in the final year of a three-year contract that has yet to be extended past this upcoming season.
None of that, however, deterred either from recently accepting jobs on Bell's staff. Rigby is the Tigers' new offensive coordinator and running backs coach; Jefferson will coach the offensive line.

I am at loss for words...this is so sad. My beloved JSU is at an all time low. I am not impressed.

Co-Sign..........This is pissing ole JR off as well. Even though I am a diehard Southernite, my next favorite SWAC school is JSU. I was raised on JSU football and to see the state of the program now is just sickening. I am glad my late Father is not around to see what has happened his beloved JSU. This is getting ridiculous. :angry: All smack aside, The SWAC aint complete without JSU being a consistent winner and contender for the title. It just aint right what those clowns have done over there.

You shole is right DNice, this schit aint funny no more. :shame:
 
This thread has gone about as expected. We could've hired Norm Chow and some of you would've still had problems.

We'll be alright. Worse case scenario, we have another bad season and start from scratch in '06. Doubt it though.

Folks kill me with all this "concern" for JSU.

Bell didn't hire these guys to excite the masses. He hired him to improve the football team. Whether they will or not its too soon to tell.

L, yo behind wasn't buying no season ticket noways. Stop all that dang complaining. Bell will be all right with his assts. Either he'll win or he won't. Just like everybody else. Ya'll just got to find something to moan about.
