I don't why you all are shocked. Jerry Jones is one of the biggest racist in America. He only cares about the black people who play for him. He knows that stupid blacks are going to support the Cowboys and use the excuse that they not really supporting Jerry.

Maybe a few guys were, but not many were participating at that point.

The simple an easy solution (s) are to either mandate all players stand.

Teams will not be on the field during the anthem.

Or

Do nothing.

The league is making this way too hard.

So how long is long enough to kneel in protest? Heck, injustices will continue until we're dead and gone so how long and how much is enough?

And if we were NFL players, would we be willing to kneel and possibly give up millions when there's such a short career span for most NFL players?

Why kneel when you can raise millions of dollars on behalf of the very cause you're kneeling for? Perhaps that's what Jerry has in mind.

Former University of Miami Hurricanes football player and Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin is one of two former NFL players named in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

According to USA Today, former NFL Network employee Erin McParland contended that she was “subjected to ongoing and continuing sexual harassment by current and former on-air talent and other employees” when she worked there for about two years. In relation to Irvin, the lawsuit contends McParland told him multiple times to “not touch” her and that Irvin “made inappropriate gestures and comments to [McParland] and once grabbed [McParland’s] waist.”

At the risk of being redundant I have done just that. I was fired for my stance and rehired in 30 minutes when they realized they would lose more money in the long run. I was the only Nortel PBX tech and they stood to lose their main customer unless I was rehired.

To be honest, you're probably the exception to the rule THESE days. People during your hey day (I'm guessing 60's, 70's, early '80's) had more backbone and stuck together.
We don't have that cohesiveness in our communities any longer.

That is because "they" are allowed to control the narrative. We expect people to hear the truth and be compelled to do what's right. The narrative should never have been allowed to change. Once the flag was brought up everyone started going on the defensive. You can't gain ground moon walking.

Toward the end of last season only a handful of guys were still demonstrating. Only after the league made suggestions about an anthem policy did the flames of this become stoked again.

Otherwise, it wasn’t going to be an issue going into the 2018 season.
