Jerry Jones doesn't care about your National Anthem policy

If you're shocked an old rich white man don't care about the welfare of black people you crazy
Ppl don't realize it's not just the cowboys. It's Dallas. Just recently, the mavs CEO tried unite the community by doing something for the fallen 5 officers as well as the black men who were killed in STL, MN, and LA. THE OFFICERS in DALLAS REJECTED!!!!

The DPD believed since it wasn't their department, they shouldn't be "attached" to the event.

Hence the reason why there are black organizations both in dallas and fort worth (BPOA). I'm not sure what plano, arlington, et al larger suburban areas do for their African-American police officers' organizations.

The puzzling thing about this is that the league really didn’t have to create a policy, rules or mandates addressing the National Anthem, because near the end of the regular season and throughout the postseason, nobody was really even kneeling. Maybe a few guys were, but not many were participating at that point.

The simple an easy solution (s) are to either mandate all players stand.

Or

Teams will not be on the field during the anthem.

Or

Do nothing.

The league is making this way too hard.

Let's play devil's advocate for a minute.
So how long is long enough to kneel in protest? Heck, injustices will continue until we're dead and gone so how long and how much is enough?

And if we were NFL players, would we be willing to kneel and possibly give up millions when there's such a short career span for most NFL players?

Why kneel when you can raise millions of dollars on behalf of the very cause you're kneeling for? Perhaps that's what Jerry has in mind.

Straddling the fence is always hard.

How long is long enough to celebrate July 4th?

Huh? How long does one expect players to lose paychecks while we stand on the sideline cheering them on....while still going to our own job?

How many of us would stay home from work in protest and not go to work to feed our family and/or side chicks for an indefinite period of time THESE days?
They don't make 'em like they used too. It's all about the dollar bill these days and that shopping mall.

Like what? He's a broadcaster now.

Former University of Miami Hurricanes football player and Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin is one of two former NFL players named in a sexual harassment lawsuit filed in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

According to USA Today, former NFL Network employee Erin McParland contended that she was “subjected to ongoing and continuing sexual harassment by current and former on-air talent and other employees” when she worked there for about two years. In relation to Irvin, the lawsuit contends McParland told him multiple times to “not touch” her and that Irvin “made inappropriate gestures and comments to [McParland] and once grabbed [McParland’s] waist.”

The answer to your first question is hopefully forever. That way we can feel like we’re fighting for something without really having to.

The answer to your second question is not a one.

Hell, just ask how many would be in favor of donating money on a continual basis to help those who may lose money for kneeling and making that bold political statement for the rest of us. Lol. Tell you everything you need to know.

At the risk of being redundant I have done just that. I was fired for my stance and rehired in 30 minutes when they realized they would lose more money in the long run. I was the only Nortel PBX tech and they stood to lose their main customer unless I was rehired.

To be honest, you're probably the exception to the rule THESE days. People during your hey day (I'm guessing 60's, 70's, early '80's) had more backbone and stuck together.
We don't have that cohesiveness in our communities any longer.

BBB, you're probably accurate on all of your points.

Wow! Didn't know that. Hope he gets through this okay. He's one of the main reasons I watch the NFL Network pre and post game shows.

Assimilation (aka integration) is a biatch. My action saved about 15 hourly jobs. But then again I have always been pretty selfless and it is hard for me to understand those who profess to have the mind of the Christ but don't exhibit any of His attributes. We sing 'Jesus Paid it All' but.....

I apologize for preaching.

By the way, I was married with two little children and a third on the way and two years into the house note of a brand new house.

What is the kneeling, at this point, accomplishing? Even Kap himself said he wouldn’t kneel any more if he returned because he thought that the gist of his message had been received.

Too many are still debating kneeling, the flag and the anthem and not really the issues that initiated all of this in the first place.

The conversation isn’t advancing very much.

They don't want to address those issues because those issues would be a distraction. Everything is a distraction in that league. Tim Tebow and his faith was a distraction as well for being an average/borderline NFL QB.

Shut up and play is not just some cute lil hashtag/saying.

That is because "they" are allowed to control the narrative. We expect people to hear the truth and be compelled to do what's right. The narrative should never have been allowed to change. Once the flag was brought up everyone started going on the defensive. You can't gain ground moon walking.

Good point.....are any of these players willing to give up money. No.

Ok if the message has been received why continue??????

To me I think the message has been sent but nothing has changed.

Ok if the message has been received why continue??????.

Toward the end of last season only a handful of guys were still demonstrating. Only after the league made suggestions about an anthem policy did the flames of this become stoked again.

Otherwise, it wasn’t going to be an issue going into the 2018 season.

I wonder what Michael Irvin and Emmit Smith think about this nonsense.
They're a couple of sambo's anyway, just like most of the players. The players don't care as much as we do. All they want to do is play football and provide for their families.
