JERRY FALWELL IS DEAD!!!

First, I read where he was unconscious. Minutes later I read where he was dead.

However, I am not going to lie. I did not like his politics. But I do wish that his soul rests in peace.

never heard of him...never the less, may he RIP. :(

He was pretty much the "head-master" for religeous beliefs back in the gap (80s). Televangelist if memory serves correct. Recall his name vividly but cannot recall what his ramblings were that put him in the spot light back in the gap.

And it does. He was very controversial in many ways and sick in many ways too.

With his being gravely ill, it was a sign of him to transition anyway.

I think he also ran for President once, didn't he?

W, he was ultra, ULTRA conservative.

Like many right-wing evangelists, his messages became more fanatical in these later years.

He was a great admired of Reagan, and credited himself with Reagan's election to the White House back in 1980.

More recently, he made a proclaimations that AIDS was God's punishment to gays for their lifestyle, and that 9-11 was punishment to America for it's lack of morals and values. While he was critical of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (for what many considered to be their racist and radical beliefs,) he was equally as guilty. Even through all of that, I hope his troubled soul can find rest, and if he does indeed make it into the kingdom, he will find himself surrounded by many of the same people he was so critical and hateful to here on earth.

Talk about a revelation!!

That's what I did. I went to CNN.com and the top story was that he was ill. Hit refresh, and the breaking news bar was across the top saying he had died.

You may be talking about Pat Robertson. He ran in 1988.

I knew it was one of them.

Now which one of them cause such a ruckus back in the day by saying that if he didn't receive a grip in donations, God was going to "call him home"?

Oral Roberts... he said that if he didn't collect 6 million, God was going to call him home to glory..

May he RIP.

Not trying to sound funny, or be disrespectful, but I wonder if ol Larry Flint is going to send some flowers to his funeral service. Those 2 had some hot battles back in the day.

NICE

Never heard of him. Of course during the 80s, I was a small child.
