Bleeding in brain kills EBR Parish Prison inmate
An East Baton Rouge Parish Prison inmate died of bleeding in the brain Friday after being beaten by two cellmates in the second of two fights at the prison. Chas Saucier, 32, died at a local hospital after the second fight at the prison early Thursday, Sheriff?s Office spokesman Fred Raiford said in a news release issued Sunday. Two inmates ? Christopher Brown, 28, and Carlese Baker, 36 ? are accused of beating Saucier with bars of soap stuffed into socks.

I go to correctional institution to minister on a monthly basis. For some that I meet, it is definitely a wake up call and they leave with all purposes and desire never to come back and they usually don't. Then you have another group who have become accustomed being in such a facility. Reason being is that they simply had not taken advantage of those opportunities that would keep them from coming back. Some that I have talked to really do feel that life for them is more stable on the inside than outside.

Never been to jail. But that statement is so true. Cats become institutionalized. Just like that old dude on Shawshank Redemption. I know cats that have been in and out of jail since I was a little kid. They can't function in the real world. They have no where to go. Family don't wont them. In jail those cats are somebody. They get free meals. A.C. Bed. Health Care. All the other amenities they offer inmates these days. Mofo's are almost living better than us free people.

I feel what you are saying, but I can't agree with the last sentence.

No indeed, I'm NOT cut out for jail. The only thing that keeps me doing right is fear of being seen on the side of the highway picking up trash in one of those white & green stripe pantsets or orange jumpsuits.

I've passed by and quite frankly didn't like the ambiance and decorum enough to want to make it my personal dwelling.

No I have not been to jail and I don't want to go:no:. The things people do here in the chi would have you believe that they don't care whether or not they get lock up.

I've never had to go to jail, but I've done prison ministry at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility.

Funny you asked this question. Since the Louisiana Dept of Corrections is one of our budget entities, we just went on some agency visits to a few of the prisons with Angola being the highlight. I've never been to jail and after seeing how those prisoners are living, less just say I'm still scared straight. After seeing death row they don't have to ever worry about me stealing or killing anything not even a roach. They let one of the inmates(the dude with missing front teeth, tattoos, scars everywhere) in the Project Impact program talk to us and I'm guessing ole dude thought we were the pardon board because he kept trying to convince us he was a changed man. But I must say the food the prisoners eat did look pretty good.

Never Have and dont plan on it......After attending a Scared Straight Program...Trip to Angola as a kidd..... I vowed never to set foot in that place or the likes thereof again.....Manning the Fields.....Can u say SLAVES???

Nah thats not for me....

CD I have to agree with that last statement. Although they live in close quarters, they receive good health and mental care. I know people working jobs and can hardly pay for their insurance. As far as food they are eating real good. I see why Burl Cain loves his job as Warden of Angola.

CD click that link and see what your tax dollars are being spent on.

Holds hand up! Shole did. I went JUST to spite this other person. lol I enjoyed watching those 2 white-boy cops put their foot in her ass as she tried to resist arrest. :emlaugh::lmao:

It amazed(s) me how certain females don't comprehend the domestic violence laws...especially when they're @ YOUR crib *F*'ing up YOUR stuff. That was the BEST 911 call I'd ever made! In order for her to go to jail, the cop told me that I'd have to go to. So, I POLITELY turned around and drug his ass to the cop car. :)

Uh, I'm too pretty for prison. :shame:

That thought alone has kept me from doing a LOT of isht.

Might be some vain isht to think, but it be what it be.
