BB.......I don't have the ability to commuicate telepathically...I am sorry I missed your earlier message

when you speak of ambiance Pappadeaux's is too noisy......

I got to really think about this....all chain restaurants are too noisy, but if I had to choose one

Pappas if you can manage a booth seat across from the bar...nice and quiet and away from the action

The outdoor patios are nice at the other restaurants but our mosquito problem in Houston prevents that

Rainforest Cafe is nice but the food is a total mess

Robber....when it comes to food, I as pickey as one can be...if I have to pay good money I expect good servive and quality. Cheap is an understatement

All eating places are the same.

Deliveries are made by the following companies:

Sunday Dinner
SysCo
Tuesdays

When visiting any restaurants:

if the chef is skinny leave.
If your waiter is wearing a bowtie leave.
If you don't see any black people when you enter leave.
If you cannot recognize the waiter accent leave.
If they change the table cloth after each customer leave.

If they bring you a glass of water without asking this is the place to eat.

If you can get fried chicken this is the place.

BTW, Top Dollar need his question answered.

Alexxus makes the best Etouffee.

Does anyone in Houston care for Kingfish Market (on Richmond)? McCormick and Schmicks (Galleria)?

Also, for "no frills" all you can eat seafood, Sartins on Hwy 69 in Beaumont!

I am not familiar with either, do you recommend both? If so, I will put them on my after church list of restaurants or would another day or occasion be better?

Kingfish is cool...if the gumbo had a thicker roux, then you got a winner, the ingredients are fresh...the fried seafood platter is alright

McCormick's......heard some great reviews about it, but doubt I ever go in the short term.

whatever the name of the blue building is off of i-10 in Lake Charles across from the Casinos.
the place is call steam boat there is another one off MLK highway it is little bit better than one on I-10 because that one is more for the local people

Mighty Hornet, the first thing they will do is asked for the following items.

ketchup
hotsauce
Mayo

Why pay all that money for a fancy?

Don't waste your money...

at McCormick and Schmicks. The restaurant is nice, the vibe is nice, but the food is terrible. And if you think Pappadeaux's is over priced...don't even think about looking at the menu at this place.

For good seafood....food period, try Tony Mandola's Seafood and Oyster Bar at I-10 and Voss....Sunday Brunch is ridiculous.

Just to add on McCormick and Schmick's --- be prepared to spend $$$$. Our "sampler" appetizer was $32.00. While their service could stand improving, they have a wide variety of fish.

'77 - I'll have to give Tony Mandola's a try the next time I'm in that area.
