Hell Stump took a bigger cut than that. It is not always about the money and the truth is most coaches take a pay cut for the opportunity to get their chance. It's always been that way.

We get too caught up into what's going on at the P5 level and adopt that as the norm. It's not

I agree a lot of folks would take a pay cut to get the head job. It's just a lot less than what most people, who were in the know, were throwing out there.

Dang that's hard to believe LOL. $135K paycut. Mullen must be leaving Ms State

Mullen is trying to leave State. He interviewed with Miami a few weeks back before they hired Richt. Mullen knows he doesn't have enough horses to get past the Bama's and others in the SEC consistently. And now that Hugh Freeze arrived at Ole Piss. They have been in that arse. Would not shock me if Mullen's agent is shopping him to other schools. I think all the good jobs are filled now. South Carolina would have been better to call Mullen instead of Muschamp. LOL.

Yep. Hughes realized that it was a sinking ship over there in Starkville.

Fixed a couple of them for you Blue. LOL. By the way, you have to remove Hopson and Big Worm. They got hired outside the 2 year window. But within the last 5 years. Looks like Coleman is the Dean of coaches. Comegy at Valley at least has been a head coach in the SWAC with the second longest tenure when you add JSU and Valley years together.

You forgot Harold Jackson and Rick Comegy lol. You have to go back 4 years if you wanna put Odums and Hobson.

I think its more of a confirmation that Ms State's recruiting will take a hit more so than the recruits coming to us. This guy definitely upgraded them with talent

MSU got some strong recruits in North Louisiana in recent years, which used to be all LSU. I wonder how this will impact them in North Louisiana. Even USM got a good recruit from my old high school in Central Louisiana, which normally would have gone to SU or some mid major FBS school in Louisiana.

This kid here from my old high school was initially recruited by BYU, but he got hurt his senior year in high school and ended up at USM.

Man, y'all didn't suppose to know about Hughes. Y'all suppose to have been asking "Who is that?" and all that stuff. Especially after the Old Man Jackson stuff.

Yea we already know you think whoever we get will be garbage the next 3 years anyways. I'm more excited about the coach(es) we let go and this hire definitely is an upgrade from the last staff. Did you guys get your new coordinators yet? New Blood in the Swac for this upcoming season.
Kmsl
