I still think she switched gears on who to listen to on this hire. She knew she had to change sources after the OMJ debacle.

No he does not. The only thing he has that is close to what you're talking about is a bonus for winning the classic. We all know that's not a regular game because of TV contract and recruiting significance. The rest is base on apr, SCG and post season.

This is what I read and it says different my boy:

Odums’ potential bonuses include:

$10,000 for winning seven or more games against Division I teams;

$10,000 for winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division championship;

$10,000 for winning the Bayou Classic; (certain schools, so we both were correct on this)

A maximum of $12,500 for being named coach of the year by the Sheridan poll of black colleges, the Louisiana Sports Writers Association, the SWAC or other organizations; and

$15,000 for winning the overall SWAC championship. (post-season)

Richardson and Mitchell both had bonus clauses for winning the Bayou Classic and SWAC championship, but no such bonuses for winning the Western Division or reaching the seven-win mark.

SU has just one seven-win season in the past eight years.

“We wanted to put in some competitive bonuses,” Broussard said. “If we’re winning and playing championship football, with the kind of fan base we have, those bonuses will more than pay for themselves many times over.”

SU will also give Odums a one-time payment of up to $10,000 for moving expenses.

The Elephant in the Room regarding Mississippi Recruiting:

USM just finished playing in the Conference USA Championship Game LMAO!!!

Part of the reason Hopson was able to get recruits was because USM was down LOL!!!!
 
Good luck. I hope he has the recruit list ready to go since all of the previous coaches were relieved of their duties. The recruiting dead period starts today and ends on 1/13/16.

Recruiting has been his specialty so if anything this puts us AHEAD in that area.

Yea we already know you think whoever we get will be garbage the next 3 years anyways. I'm more excited about the coach(es) we let go and this hire definitely is an upgrade from the last staff. Did you guys get your new coordinators yet? New Blood in the Swac for this upcoming season.

Hell Stump took a bigger cut than that. It is not always about the money and the truth is most coaches take a pay cut for the opportunity to get their chance. It's always been that way.

We get too caught up into what's going on at the P5 level and adopt that as the norm. It's not
