First of all, Moore and Casey were both good players. And they had good careers at JSU. But what BBF is saying is the lack of player development, doing the same things and expecting different results. Comegy had a very hands-off style when it came to fundamentals, execution, etc. Similar to the late Robert Hughes to be honest. You can only get so far with that style of coaching - we had talent but we aren't getting 5 star recruits here. Our players still need to be worked with.

Now, of course you guys should have run the ball more as GR said. JSU was in way too many spread sets as opposed to bringing in an extra blocker (TE) and handing the ball off. I was almost happy yall didn't play power football as much as you should have.

You lost me lol...no that means they don't get better here. Like, if a hs guy was highly touted and he came here, he is going to leave here with the same flaws, no improvement. If a guy doesn't come here rock 'n and rollin, then he will be on the bench his whole career. Players like cox, Richardson came from small towns and developed themselves!!! Casey plays arena ball and has developed his game. If casey came back today he would run the table in the swac, he developed tangibles that could not be taught under comegy who is a defensive minded coach anyway.

JayRob may stay clueless on alot and most of the crap he post..but lil brother did call for dude head...while others were calling this dude a living legend lol...but JayRob was correct on this one...what this makes dude 1 outta 893 on stuff he's been right on lol...that was too far..but he was right though

Can't argue on this. I agree with that. Comegy fell into that trap of letting his assistants do what they want. Same thing happened to Pete.

Comegy was the best coach in the SWAC but that's not good enough for JSU.

Willie Richardson. LOL. I went to HS with his son who went on to Ole Piss. Anyway, he wanted that JSU head job in the worse way. Yall need to take what he says with a grain of salt. Don't think he ever approved of any Head Coach at JSU. LOL.

Shole gone be interesting to see how THOROUGH the JSU search is. To see if no personal ideas come up from TFO and the Queen or even the BBA. I am sure they have their opinions on who should be the next coach.

I will be sitting back watching to see how the great JSU is going to show the rest of us how a coaching search is supposed to go. :popcorn:

Comegy got us to respectability but he hit a wall. 8 years of the same thing is enough. I imagine basketball coaches had it hard coming after Dave Whitney because he set a standard. If you relax those standards your program falls into disarray.

Some of yal jsu people head and ass is so swole and tight that yal cant even smell or hear the shit yal say some times. Yal think that program was bigger and better than what it really is. It starts with coaching and personnel. If Comegy was anything like Bell then he wouldnt had been as successful as he was. A reality check is about set in on yal. Everyone has their good and bad years but yal have had way more good/great than bad and yet yal say it aint good enough. I tell you what, sooner or later no one is gonna want to coach their. My hats off to Comegy and his staff!
