Well unless it involves him being under investigation at ASU, to say he made a poor decision in the hire is sorta semantics.

I don't think you could find anyone in America that would called the hiring of Brian Jenkins a poor decision at the time. He has a great resume and championshipa under his belt.

It more accurate to say that he just didn't pan out.

I must agree, I was under the impression that it was a great hire if he could get past the allegations.

Barlow always lost the wrong game to the wrong team to keep him from winning the EAST but he was right up there in 2nd place every time. Jenkins teams have got worse every year he has been there. He went from 6-5 to 4-7 to might not win 4 games this year. Never have I seen an Alabama St. team lose by 50+ points to a SWAC team (vs. SU 2016). Never have I seen an Alabama St. team get held to 6 points at home to a DII team (vs. Tuskegee 2017). Never have I seen an Alabama St. team get shut out at home by anther SWAC team (vs. Prairie View 2017). But If yall are looking for another Head Coach Alcorn is willing to offer yall Fred Kaiss. As far as the AD, he is going to live or die by the performances of his teams.

Jenkins' hire has very little to do with Hines forced resignation. The writing was on the wall with the dismissal of the former president and other issues the university managers and new president had with his running of the athletic department.
