Exactly! The women should just forfeit and save that travel money
Still trying to win by default. If you are so sure of victory just play the games and let whatever happens happen. There will be some surprises this tournament.

SWAC found incorrect application of rules in controversial Alabama State-Alabama A&M finish

An apparent game-winning 3-point shot by Alabama State guard Eric Coleman that was waved off by game officials in the final seconds of Saturday’s game versus rival Alabama A&M should have counted, the SWAC ruled.

Coleman’s shot with 4.1 seconds left in regulation was nullified by referees in what was an eventual 55-50 win by the Bulldogs.

After a review of the sequence, the SWAC on Monday determined it had found what was described as an “incorrect adjudication of the playing rules.”

Here is a statement from the SWAC on its decision:

Alabama State’s Eric Coleman converted a successful three-point shot attempt with 4.1 seconds on the game clock subsequently giving ASU a 53-51 lead. Upon the officials’ review of the play, it was determined that a flagrant 1 foul occurred prior to the shot attempt with 6.9 seconds remaining in regulation.

Here is a statement from the SWAC on its decision:
It was not a game-winning three-point shot. It put Bama State up by two. A&M was give two free throws because the Bama State player committed the flagrant foul before he made the shot. The A&M player made the two free throws. Had the officials had not taken the three Bama State points off the board, the game would have been tied and A&M would have had possession of the ball with the 4 seconds left on the clock. The best outcome for Bama Statw would have been overtime-- Only A&M would have had a decent chance to win in regulation.

The whole problem would have been avoided if the officials had made the right call in the first instance. If they had blown the whistle when the Bama State player committed the flagrant foul before the shot, the play would have been dead and the points would not have been put on the board.

One question. When did JSU get so hyped over women's basketball? Denise won titles while she was there and got no where near this interest.
Social media wasn't social media-ing when Denise was coaching (Reed was on that staff). Plus THEE is always hyped over THEE winning

@Herbert77060 Tevester Anderson was the best thing they had and they got spoiled after running him off - basketball was down so Reed started winning and they ran to her cause winning wasn't happening - you know how that goes - let Mo go 16-2 with big wins Reed is the warm-up act lol

now why JSU ain't drawing big crowds is the question -
