HBCU Baseball/Softball Scores 3/17 to 3/31

Dude, nobody criticized Bama State for having Puerto Rican players. They're primarily Black any how. Omar has always had players from the islands.

I made that argument too. Notice I identified who raised the issue. Hey it’s all good. JSU has a very good experienced team that can hit. We loss most of our pitching from last season and have to rely mostly on a talented freshmen class. Now our no.1 pitcher had Tommy John surgery this week. We loss our starting all conference infielder before the season with a torn labrum. After losing the series to A&M last weekend, Vasquez shook up the lineup and went with mostly freshmen this weekend. And they responded.

You were the main one. A lie don't care who tell it.
And tell the whole truth if you're going to tell it. I criticized that Melendez dude for practically having an entire team of folks who weren't Black. Don't play dumb.
You knew exactly what Melendez was doing, but yall kept quiet about it cause he won a few games, so yall didn't care. Seems like yall have given your whole baseball team over to "other" folks, including the coaches (not one Black coach), but that's yall's bucket to carry.
And for your information, all of JSU's coaches are Black, compared to zero for Bama State at a so-called HBCU.
And out of 37 players, JSU has only seven from Puerto Rico.

I noticed that as well but didn't say anything because I didn't feel like typing anything remotely acting like I cared about their hypocrisy. Meanwhile, po ol lowly Valley beat them one time with a team mostly of black players with one DR starter (and a few white players)
Dude, you just worry about Valley finally making the playoffs. It don't matter who Valley has cause no one can remotely take a team seriously who gave up 39, 15 and 20 runs in consecutive games.
You guys are so desperate now from losing so much, half your team consist of transfers and comm. college recruits.
Hit us back up when you get above .500, then maybe we'll let you in grown folks conversation.

Figures you would change your tone when JSU starts recruiting more Puerto Ricans. Melendez was out recruiting the best players that he knew of and you along with others had a problem with it. Not surprised though.

I see yall making excuses cause yalls coach can't win with mostly bruthas on your teams, but Omar has been doing it for years and continues to do so.
Again, kudos to the JSU coach for not giving up on Black players and Black coaches which is what they're supposed to be doing at our HBCUs.
If we don't support our own, who will?

No need to change tone. Yall knew what Melendez was doing all along and let him get away with it. His teams were like 85 percent Puerto Rican, at an HBCU.
That extremely high percentage was what I took issue with, not the fact that he had Puerto Rican players.
Bama State's present coach is not like Melendez, however he has zero Black coaches in a major sport at an HBCU. I do have issue with that.

Melendez went undefeated and won the championship in 2016. Vasquez was runner up last season losing to TXSU in extra innings in the championship game. We are pleased with our baseball program under the leadership of Coach Vasquez. The games in Jackson will probably decide the eastern championship. TXSU appears to be the strongest team in west.

Omar did it twice in a row....with primarily Black coaches and players. I respect him for trying to keep the dreams of Black players and coaches alive and well at our beloved HBCUs.
Just my humble opinion.

The Bama State/Morehead State games have been moved to Montgomery due to inclement weather.

smh,
Dude, just stop lying!!!! You were the MAIN one. I distinctly remember calling you a racist for the way you continued to carry on (or should I say cry) about ASU's team!!
Dude, do you even know what the hell a racist is? Obviously you don't nor can you seem to comprehend plain English.
What I did complain about was the VOLUME of Puerto Rican players versus how many Black players Melendez recruited at an HBCU.
Either your memory is short or your comprehension is lacking. Could be both.
JSU's coach has always had Puerto Rican players, but not more than 60, 70 and 80 percent of his players like Bama State's previous coach. It's like he didn't even try hard to recruit many Black players.
I see folks like you could care less about protecting what previous Bama State alumni fought so hard to protect.

JR was a mainstay at sTu baseball when Coach Candy was living. Got a baseball signed by him and the Toy Canon Jimmy Wynn.
