You really can't go by this poll being that the particular paper that is giving it is in North LA. GSU , ULM and LTU are all in the area with SU and LSU being out of the area.

If it's a newspaper article you need to boost your ever-downing spirits when in comparison to Southern, then by all means vote away. We know the deal every Bayou Classic. So does the millions of viewers that watch NBC.

SU feels they are the best, just like we feel we are the best. the sad part is SU feels that they are unbeatable. In 01 we proved them wrong (see tape). 02, SU beat us flat out. This year both bands are bringing the pain. This is the battle everyone looks forward to, "World Famed v. JukeBox"
I can't speak on the poll because I don't know the population that was polled.
One a final note, to SU, your band has been and still is amazing, but if the majority preferred you, then why do people want us to perform so much. Playing music along with shakin our arse must be very entertaining to the masses.

No one will compete with Grambling in dancing. Gram dances better than anyone and has for decades. But the folks who hang our in this forum are not the masses, but bandheads. We know music. Grambling hasn't had the consistent musical "horses" for a while now. WE know that. This year has shown some improvement. We commend you.
We also know that SU is your biggest rival and pressure will still break steel pipes. The question that remains is how you will respond to the pressure. That is why we live for these matchups.
Back in the 30's and 40's, big bands would meet head-to-head in large dance halls and go at it. The crowd would pick their winners of the matchups. After the gig the musicians would gather and tell the real truth to each other. It often contradicted the opinion of those on the dance floor.
