If you say so but,....if memory serves me correctly,.....it was back to back hits and your band could not respond. Your power tune tactic (tryin' to blow someone out thinking you'll have the last word) wasn't cuttin' it and the crowd (your own fans) did not want to even cheer for the dolls nor your band that year!!!
Sad and weak!!!!

It's not SU fault that we have more fan support than GSU....Really it's not our fault, we are just that much loved for keeping on keeping on.....


97 true enough GSU did get the MOST crowd responce and in 94...so in those terms GSU did come out on top in winning what was the crowd responce.....as far as BAND wise SU had the better band....

GSU folks don't never want to admit it, but they know they don't wanna see SU in an open stadium.......My question is how could SU give all these other bands HELL those years, and GSU caught hell from the SAME bands we gave hell and they admit it, but we get in this big arse super dome and things are different...

For one it is not the traditional band battle....The BOTB in New Orleans could be ANY 2 bands and any band can come out on top..You can put a mis match of College and a High School in that same setting and that crowd would not give a flying fugg, as long as they hear their SONG...lol

Back in the day it was different now it is to "broadway".......It ain't nothing like a STAND battle in the 5th like it should BE!!!!!!!


For the record in 97..."Tyron" got the most house out of anything..But consitanly the whole night SU had more tunes to get house than GSU......That rap melody didn't help us neighter, but oh well...I just go to the BOTB mainly to say I was there, but it ain't nothing like a good ole STAND battle, FAR FROM IT...

Bruh I would love to SU in an open stadium so we can settle it once and for all. Fact SU probably will be loud but that is SU's style. So let me ask you this can a band be judged on loudness alone. But I have the Bayou Classic tapes from 90 own down to present. In my opinion GSU gets 93, 93, 94, 94, 99(both bands were boring), and 01 My opinion but as the point has been brought this was a North Louisiana paper I'd bet 1,000,000,000 dollars that if this poll took place in Southern Louisiana it would be a truly different story as to who would be in first place.

I never said anything about who will be louder....

I know the U will give off a bigger and better sound.....especially those years mentioned.......

You call it boring, that setting is boring...

It's funny how a SU/JSU battle is never boring, and SU and GSU puts on a waaaaay more entertaining show than a regular 5th battle.... Point blank that setting is boring, and it sucks....You can't get a true account for who is who, and what is what.....:(
 
Is there an open stadium that can seat about 30,000 in New Orleans? If so, I say move the Friday night BOTB to it.
