Exactly. People need to realize that if you don't have the resources and funds to make such a move, your school should AT LEAST have some quality leadership who are progressive and competent enough to form a strategic plan for such a move. When Dr. Harvey arrived at Hampton in the 1980s, he formed a strategic 10-year plan to move out of the CIAA and into the MEAC. Not only did his plan provide a smooth transition, his teams came into the conference kicking ass. That is the type of leadership that most of our schools lack. I don't even know why anyone brought Alabama State's name into this topic. Their new president is the dude from Clark-Atlanta who...nevermind. :shame:
Whomever said anything about Prairie View making such a move is stupid as hell and certainly don't know how things work in this state OR the board to which PVAMU reports to. How dumb.... :smh: I don't care if PV's enrollment #s hit 10,000 tomorrow, it STILL won't happen. Great proof of this 'process' is the fact that PVAMU STILL plays in a dilapitated stadium in the year 2012. How the fvck can PVAMU consider a move to FBS when it cannot even rally the alumni base to erect a new stadium that seats 22K-25K? :emlaugh:
