Yes to the latter, and you know all to well the rest have been also. Done of which has anything to do with the issue of making a coach the highest paid in D-IAA in the nation or if anyone else can macth that or afford to do so.

You have made him the highest paid coach, but he still has the worst facilities in the state to work with. When will the construction equipment start moving the dirt?

The issue isn't about us having the highest paid coah or when will they start construction on our improvements. You live in BR don't you? So I'm sure you read the advocate as do others to get their up to date info on such matters.

It is all about the facilities. Pet has been begging for them since he came to BR. You want him to produce and generate titles, but he has poor equipment to work with. You can pay him a half million dollars, but if you don't make the other improvements, what good will it do?

S.O.G. just be honest and say because Gram doesn't have that kind of money and wouldn't be allowed to by the ULL governing board anyway. Especially not before they take care of there own.

I don't know what the ULL governing board would do, but alumni would be upset that we were overpaying a coach to such a magnitude. At that salary, I'd expect much better coaching than what I've seen from Pete.

Maybe there's some things that made them feel he deserved such a pay increase...but they panicked and caved in to criticism by Joe S. from the Advocate. When dude called them out in the paper with his slanted opinion, they broke rank and caved in. All they had to do was tell Pete that their final offer was a 3 yr deal at current salary with incentives (championships) by Dec 31st take it or leave it. Where else would he have gone and if he left, how hard would he be to replace?

when you speak of worst facilities what are you talking about. We have the best playing surface in the south;top notch press-box and luxury suities; jumbo-tron with replay(largest system in 1-aa). Now I will agree our work out facilities are well below standards but every thing else is better than anyone else in 1-aa. You know the construction on our facilities will begin this year,so when this is completed you know that your school and the other schools in the swac don't stand a chance.

p.s. you need to stop talking about facilities with that horrible playing surface and antebellum score board you guys have.

.
How do you know this?

we only need workout facilities and locker rooms which will both come in our construction project. Oh by the way construction has already started on Southern's campus. The baseball concessions and restrooms are currently being built.

Other than the playing surface, the items you listed are for the fans.

Where did you read that he said we had better press and luxury boxes than AAMU?

It is amazing how these people never accentuate the positives and dig so deep for negatives when referring to their SUperior. It can't be too healthy for these people to carry around so much hate or being so inept in handling their personal demons...........Make no mistake, many of these people have issues with identifying and managing negativity (aka personal demons).

P.S. As bluedog stated in another thread, some of these people have crab in the barrel syndrome also.

MikeBigg spin it all that you want but the bottomline is you don't have a clue as to what you're trying to say. Do you even realize that all we're talking about is a fithy-thousand dollar raise with incentives?

Maybe it's the fact that you know that he "WILL" get those incentives and the realization it'll be at the expense of most you.

How do you know that? Did Chancelor Jackson tell you? Was it those insiders that told you Pete was gone? Or was it the insiders that have been telling you the last ten years that this is the year S.U. is going to fired him?
