I have just been laid off. I am cleaning my desk as I type. The entire sales department is gone.

Be strong my brotha. Remember God doesn't put anything on us that we can't bear. Is there anything that the TSPNers can do for you and your family?

Everything happens for a reason.......
If there is anything you need.....just holla.

BE A G ABOUT IT

You are truly being tested. I can understand your frustration. I'm not going to shoot the BIBLE at you...but remember this: THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE IN A LOT WORST SHAPE THAN YOU ARE!!!! BE STRONG!!!

For Sure! Kenn let us know if we can do anything!!

Kenn,

I'm sure the recent events come at a trying time. This may not be so much a test as it is an opportunity. I feel that God is heading you in a direction that will be a blessing to you & family...in addition through you others will be blessed.

MikeB hit the nail on the head!!!

SS did also! I had a similar situation and I know that it put me in my present situation at a job I really and honestly love!

Look at it this way, you were probably content with what you were doing, but so that you can be USED somewhere else, this "door was shut" and not necessarily a "window", but a big, huge roll-up door is opening for you!!! Blessing should be pouring out in "5, 4, 3...."

Keep your head up, Brotha and Trust in God!!!

Kenn, Sometimes the Lord gives us a blessing in a strange package. Pray and be strong. Let us know what he has in store for you. I've a feeling it's bigger and better than what you had before. My prayers are with you.

Peace

Dude...me and you both....damn it.

Ima open me a sports bar for black folks...call it Bloomers.

Im tired of working for the man anyway.

Keep your head up kid.....better things are always ahead.

A personal experience that should lift you up.

The same thing happened to me about one year ago, a couple months later, I found something better, better pay, I only work a fraction of what I used to, and I enjoy it much much more than my old job.

Moral: Could be a blessing in disguise (sp?)

Draw nigh unto Him and He will draw nigh unto you. Spend this time getting to know the Lord for who He really is. Many times we only know Him for WHAT He can do for us. He wants us to really get to know Him. His character, His will, and His love. I know personally that sometimes God allows things to happen to get our attentions and to draw us closer to Him. We may feel that our walk with Him is just fine, but God will be saying, "NO!" "You need to get closer to Me. There are trials comin your way that you need alittle more faith and the only way you can get it is to get closer to Me."

Keep your faith, stay strong and stand straight.
Girdle your loins and be a MAN.
For we are all pilgrims travelin through this barren land.

:D :)

Kenn,

I know the feeling all to well my brother. I was laid off on Jan 28. It has been two weeks of no work it is no fun. I've been looking for work and I pray that another door will open soon. This is the first time in my life that I've been without a job and not be in school. I'm keeping my head up and taking the high road by looking at this as an opportunity to start something new.

I got one question.......

Where are the Republicans, now? I guess this is Clinton's fault.....

Thanks Usama! You really did hit us were it hurts. I hope they find your arse and drive you through the United State so everyone can put a foot in your stankin' bad kidney cave dwellin' butt!

Then, these clowns are trying to drop interest rates to boost the economy..... Man, what dayum economy? Ken Lay, I want to kick yo butt, too.

On another note..... ditto to all the other nice stuff everyone else said. I'm just venting!

That sounds like my story. I have always had a job or was in school, since I was 18. So, now this independent woman has a new lifestyle coming on! :D ...I can watch Oprah and eat Bon-Bons, surf the net, and play housewife. Hee hee! :D

Seriously, I've been looking for work, and I have had some leads but so far nothing is breaking...

OMG...

Guys, I am so sorry to hear this. Keep your heads up Sistahs and Brothas, because God has a master plan for all of us.
