You too young to remember when they produce several NBA players in the 80s and they were no joke in basketball. They just didn't keep it going coaching wise. They were something to deal with. As a matter of fact, Kansas was suspect doing that time before Larry Brown took over and brought Danny Manning and his Daddy over from the state of North Carolina to Kansas. Dean Smith basically help save his alma mater twice now. LOL. First with Larry B and then with Roy Williams. When Kansas got back on track, Wichita State took a dip in their success. Good to see them back.
The first time I ever heard of WSU was during the CWS when they had Darren Dreifort, Doug Mirabelli and Casey Blake (all MLB players). I caught a couple of their games in the 90s on regional cable broadcasts.
