I found it ironic that folks on here literally had the audacity to proclaim (WSSU's record of 30 consecutive victories ) was "tarnished" considering how deliberately FCS HBCUs have been dodging playing WSSU. Both schools from the SWAC and MEAC especially over the last 2 seasons have played several D2 schools even VUL has popped up on several SWAC schedules. However for some "strange" reason WSSU which has publicly expressed interest in playing a FCS HBCU has yet to be contacted for a game.
This year alone the SWAC has played VUL, University of Faith, Concordia College, Tuskegee, Central Methodist, Louisiana College,Central State. These are "Cupcake" games... WSSU is NOT a cupcake of any measure.
Of course playing teams from a "lesser" division is supposed to be an automatic victory but WE all know that is hardly the case versus WSSU. WSSU is not relevant because of it's CIAA success. WSSU did what NO HBCU has done recently and that is go to the NCAA Playoffs and WIN! WSSU has won 6 NCAA Playoff games!
WSSU would love to play an FCS should BUT yall actually have to step up the plate and make the call. NCAT & NCCU have been ducking WSSU since 2010.
It's very hard for WSSU to schedule opponents , winning 47 games in 4 years will do that at any level.
