well Psycho did come back and say his cousin did come out and say he did it. but obviously they've ignored that. but before he made mention, i wasn't aware that anyone had come forth, and wasn't going to be suprised one bit if no one came foward and confessed on his behalf. sadly, some of "his boys" could be sittin back waitin on him to fall, not saying that they are, but we don't know.

The biggest stories right now are BONDS (he's innocent), VICK, Pacman, Henry etc etc.
Hell the Urban Leagues National Convention is in St. Louis with a host of prominant Black men but no one ever hears about that.
I met Steve Harvey and Nephew Tommy this morning......that should have atleast been on ESPN2 or Deportes.

i hear you, but to "them" that is not news. scandal and anything to discredit an image or name is, and if it's a chocolate face, oh that's huge-ER. however, it is ultimately in our control if we stop handing the amo on a silver platter. a ton of bad decisions. we need more consulting on the professional image tip for our brothers going into these high profile situations. yes it's their life, but someone has to get across to them that once you put that hat on they have a magnifine glass on your nuts.

Trust I do think that the White media does alot to Discredit the "Minority" Figures in society. I just wish we wouldnt give the ammo to load up with.
I think the NBA has a program for rookies to help them cope with the new lifestyles. You just cant hand 8.5 million dollars to a 22 year old and expect them not to get buckwild. I know if you gave me $50 right now I'd be at Starbucks making it rain.

i do too. but see i'm not talking about the NBA or NFL having programs. i'm speaking outside of those sectors. there are some out there, i remember reading about one in Essence some years back, i thought it was an interesting field. it was based in Nashville.

I don't know what cousin said that Vick didn't do it, but the cousin that actually lived at the house is not being prosecuted at all.
When this all ends, I truly hope Vick figures out, who his friends truly are, and what family members are in his corner, because I think the thing a lot of people that want Vick to be innocent (I don't care one way, or the other) is missing, is it's his friends, family, and associates that are the ones that are singing against him. If only they were as loyal as his fans, he wouldn't be in this mess.

Yeah beans, the cousin that lived in the house is not one of the guys being charged. I think he's either CW#1, OR CW#2, meaning he's turned. They were talking about it here the other day on the sports talk radio station it was either The Doc Walker Show, or The John Thompson Show with Brian Mitchell & Al Token (not sure which one), that the strange thing about this case is, the cousin who lived in the house is not being charged with anything.

Nike ices Vick's pact; Reebok halts sale of No. 7 jersey
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Nike suspended its lucrative contract with Michael Vick on Friday, while Reebok took the unprecedented step of stopping sales of his No. 7 jersey.
Facing protests from animal-rights groups, Nike announced it was suspending Vick's endorsement deal without pay, as well as halting sales of Vick-related shoes and other products at its retail stores.
Reebok, the official uniform supplier of the NFL, said it would stop selling Vick's replica jersey at retail stores and through its Web site.
The moves came one day after the Atlanta Falcons quarterback pleaded not guilty to federal dogfighting charges in Richmond, Va.
"Nike is concerned by the serious and highly disturbing allegations made against Michael Vick, and we consider any cruelty to animals inhumane and abhorrent," Nike spokesman Dean Stoyer said in a statement.
Since Vick has not been convicted of any crime, Nike left open the door to resume its business relationship with the star player if he's acquitted.
"We do believe that Michael Vick should be afforded the same due process as any citizen in the United States," according to the statement. "Therefore, we have not terminated our relationship."
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, in response to Nike's decision, said Friday it would call off plans to picket NikeTown stores across the country next week.
"PETA commends Nike for its decision to suspend Michael Vick's contract without pay and to discontinue sales of Vick merchandise pending the outcome of his trial," PETA said in a statement. "No company wants a spokesperson with a massive illegal dogfighting ring operating on his property, regardless of his level of involvement."
Although Reebok does not have a business relationship with Vick, the Massachusetts-based company serves as the official supplier of apparel and equipment to all 32 NFL teams. Through that deal, it holds the coveted rights to sell jerseys at the retail level.
"We just find the allegations very upsetting and very disturbing," Reebok spokeswoman Denise Kaigler said. "While this is just the beginning of the legal process and we know that it has to have time to run its course, we felt that making this decision now was important and the right things to do."
Reebok said it also was willing to take back any unsold Vick jerseys that are returned by retail outlets.
Kaigler said she already had received numerous e-mails in support of the decision. Even though numerous NFL players have run afoul of the law, this is the first time Reebok has stopped sales of an individual jersey.
"The number of e-mails and statements we're getting from consumers was pretty telling about how disturbing people find these allegations to be," Kaigler said.
