Ever Marched a Game/ B.O.T.B Drunk?





...yep.

To many times to even keep count. Practice, gameday, whatever. I was on the dance committee, and it was part of our ritual to have a few dranks, and blaze before we started making up a routine. Talkin' bout creativity? Man we came up with some wild isht. :lol:

If you practice this way, then you can perform this way. It was funny to see the non drinkers try to perform at halftime after a sip from the cup :lmao: You'd see people in the corner with their overlay off gasping for air with an emergency vehicle headed their way.

I think one of the drunkest bands I have seen is Stanford University's Band....Liberty Bowl 1995....my high school band marched/performed a show with them and a host of other bands....man them mo fo's was gone......shid...besides liquor....I think some of them were riding the white horse.....and some mo shat......

Ey....during my time, we wore them Bucket hats; you can hide a 5th in it. Now imagine marching....horn swing and all with a 5th of liquor on top of your head boppin around.

But I marched drunk 04 MCC, and a couple games in HS (I know I know....go suck one...)

Nope, never did it, but I laughed at dumbass folks that did do it and go try to march in 90+ degree heat and end up falling out.

I marched my Last Bayou Classic BOTB Drunk(2007) Damn near fell out after all that stuff we did in the stands as the Sax Section...

It was fun though, You gone off that drink an marchin in seein all them people, all them lights and stuff. It was a feelin to feel

Life on that back row of the band kept us tipsy. And, I was already a weed head. It was always me and one of my CB's to take the first good gulps...and, my other CB had to kill it.

I'll never forget a game against TSU (cold as isht that game)...my CB finished the cup of Crown in seconds. Minutes later, he looks at me with this dazed look talk'n bout "Mmmman, I feel good...*Doc call'n for fight song*..."oh isht, help me"....:lol:

I think with the exception of the first few games of my crab year, I don't think I ever marched a halftime without having a taste or 2 or 3 etc.....

I never messed up anything either.........well there was this 1 time my senior year during Homecoming..... I was the point in the bottom of the V and we changed where to cut off the music that was on my signal (Drum Major). I knew that I had 16 more counts left before I blew the whistle and held up the Mase to signal to stop in 4 beats. I got to my spot and I saw the band director look at me to signal and I thought I missed it and signaled early and every didn't stop in 4. There was some on 4, 6 and 8. The 2 guys next to me was telling me that Prof was pissed and looking right at the back of my head. I wouldn't turn around and look back at him. We were in that position for about 20 minutes while they did all the tradition homecoming stuf on the field. I did make it all up in the dance routine and just acted a fool out in front of the band.

I was toasted that game............my last homecoming marching.
