hell he'd have yo azz zipped so fast!I could would never go to the game or BOTB's drunk because Doc he's caught people before and if he catches you that's a wrap!!!
 This is true! My poor crab brothers! :bawling:
I just dont see how it is possible.... I couldnt be drunk in that hot ass uniform in the sun.... Hell I cant function in the club when Im drunk, so I know I would KILL a drill.
Question to SU people... has anyone ever forgot the halftime score during the drill and messed it up?
LOL. You are right DaHill. I doubt folks were just tore up drunk. I know some during my time were a little tight or had been drinking the night before. But never just that drunk. Doc would be looking at us like this>>>:retard::upset: if he thought so. Even though he treated our era slightly different due to the type of cats we had. LOL. Some just were just special cases.:lmao:
As far as the halftime score.....none of the shows we did during the time I was at SU had any major mistakes that the audience could tell. I am sure someone got to a spot late or was off just a little and WE could tell watching film. But no one went the wrong way or stood out during the score. Usually Doc or Chester White(one of our assistants) would remind us of the score right before we left the stands and while we were lining up on sidelines before the half. My crab year we had the score change on us right before halftime against Tn State.........we were already lined up, ready to go on the field. We got big HOUSE from their fans because they were like...dang, them mofos still did the score with ease even though it changed at the end of the half.imp:
As a spectator all these years after....I have yet to see the Jukebox screw up the score either. Pretty amazing.

:tup:The assistants would be running crazy making sure we knew... But the way we practiced it.. we knew what we had to do.. but you would want to be SURE...lmao
The way it's practiced over and over...you don't realize it, but you're ready to change at the drop of a hat. Along with the directors keeping you well informed, there are very subtle ways two ranks can communicate that's quick and easy. Plus, it helps to have, atleast, halfway intelligent folks running the drill.

......go to hell SS
Shiiiid we were on that cheap liqour/beer/wine; i.e. Lord Baltimore Gin or E&J/Colt-45/MD 20-20, ThunderBird, or Red Dagger.
You drank ANY of that, and you thank in Rome fa'real lol
"Snake"
man ole man. :lmao::lmao::lmao: John got rich off of A&M.
Well let me put it like this, my drinking habits got bad when I went to AAMU. We was drinking while we were at practice, while we was getting our ass whipped, and at the game. I remember someone brought a one of those big water guns with the back pack and filled it up with beer. Took the gun off and had a knob on the end of it. And we are not going to talk about what goes on in the circle's on the field before halftime.
u know what... I dont think a JOHN ever worked there lol... I just think the name of the store was Johns. He been busted for selling underage SO many times, I dont know how that store still open.. hell they sell everything in there now... shoes, clothes, etc.
Why I'm not surprise this thread was started by someone who marched in Grambling's band.

Yeah I know how yall got down in the sousaphone section.
You aint gotta call us out
I didnt start drinking in the band until probaly my fourth or fifth year, By that time alot of things in the band irritated me and I drank to ease my mind while at practice or the game. I used to drink Jim Beam (thats all I could afford in college lol!). I had it in a little flask and stored it in the imfamous pocket. By the time my fifth year came i was takin shots before every song, fanfare, field show, and fifth quarter. :lmao:
Oh yeah and dont even let me mention Homecoming (A&M folks know what im talkin about)
