Bruh, in all seriousness, that's a great look.

Someone needs to quote what I said yesterday... "How will a prospective recruit know about your program unless you aggressively promote your program?" (c Dec/2020 - Bewild; hbcusports.com)

Coach Prime is doing it the right way vs... being standoffish, quiet, secretive, "cloudy" (non-transparent), et al.

Profound.. good shyt Panth

I do believe we a witnessing a Paradigm Shift in how we can market a HBCU sports' program in the "Prime" age of Social Media!

yes and no - the yes is you hire someone with a huge following to bring attention - that's like hiring Kim Kardashian somewhere. Everywhere she posts it'll generate views. Valley can do the same and nothing happens unless you have a Kim K sending it out. Most of the content is from his personal page and pushed to our outlets as that's where the viewership lies.

It all depends on the particular head person in charge

Deion is a master self-promoter. He's been honing that skill since forever. Not a lot of current coaches have the personality, the ability, the support or are just willing to engage on that level on social media to duplicate what Deion does. I just don't see Fobbs posting 100 IG stories a day like Deion does about Grambling football. It's not his makeup.

There aren't any college coaches that can duplicate what Deion does social media wise - it's not just limited to HBCU coaches. The closest are probably Saban and Dabo, but they definitely wouldn't be as engaging in their posts.

Also, I like how Deion uses his celebrity to his advantage. There's no way JSU or any other HBCU program would constantly tout their commitments out in public for fear that the larger programs will swoop in and steal them from under our noses. Remember, it doesn't mean shyt until they sign that NLI. It's a double-edged sword because you're not getting the word out as much on building your footbal program, but I think too often than not coaches have been burned in the past, and are not willing to risk it happening again.

Deion is a celebrity coach, and has to use his clout to get JSU seriously considered by top recruits. Meanwhile, other coaches at P5 schools can just rely on their school's clout to be considered.

Wait, what? Deion has to use clout to get JSU seriously looked at? Dude, you sound bitter and foolish.

Bitter how? Just calling a spade a spade. Boy some of y'all jsu cats are sensitive as hell. Didn't one of y'all just go on a tirade about sensitive men acting like females? Lol

So you're just gonna sit here and act like y'all would have these same transfers and recruits this early without Deion's clout? Explain to us how it's really JSU's clout at play and not Deion's again? This outta be good...

Cole and Comegy got the same - Twitter was barely in existence then - same type of transfers. Barlow got the former sec freshman of the year so it has been done.

This year with teams not having as many slots due to eligibility and no live period a lot of teams will have better than normal yields for high schoolers

History has proven it may work or flame out so we’ll see. Every coach has the off-season honeymoon - this is just a longer one lol

Y'all quit telling this lie. It was nowhere near the same quantity of high caliber athletes that Deion is pulling in the EARLY signing period.

And Isaiah Crowell was kicked off the team at Georgia. How is that remotely the same as this situation?

Nobody is saying y'all never signed a 3* or 4* athlete before - just not this many at once. I don't know, maybe y'all just like to argue.

the majority of those swac transfers were problem chaps. Kicked off a team or two. Hell, maybe three LOL It was either go home and work at dollar general or play for the swac.
