College Football Playoff - The SEC is our overlords





Second time Saban win the National Championship by beating the SEC Champs. Two National Championship banners without SEC Championship banners.

Alabama freshman QB reminds me of Russell Wilson with his ability to escape the pressure.

alabama may have won, but they still did not EARN a spot in the playoff. It was gifted to them. Didn't win the SEC championship but you're the national champ? Huh?
The committe needs to get some clarity about who gets in. It's not just about the best 4 teams. Bama has good coaches and always ends up top 4 in recruiting, so in theory they should always be one of the best 4. It's about the best 4 that have demonstrated that over the course of the season. Bama did nothing in games 1-12 that showed they were a top 4 team.
And the commercials want to say every game counts. Obviously they didn't.

It's the same thing that happened with Ohio State last year. They didn't win the Big 10 and had TWO losses but were considered one of the best 4 teams in the country and got in the playoffs.

They set precedent last year with Ohio State so it was obvious that Bama was getting in this year if it was close after what happened to the Big Ten the previous 2 years.

It will expand to 8 teams. Just a matter of when (my guess will be 2020)
 
Conference titles mean little to nothing when it comes to overall ranking. Especially in conferences with split divisions

If I am not mistaken, Hurts would have to sit out a year if he decides to transfer to another D1 level college. Or, he could transfer to a D2 level college and play right away which I don’t see happening. He will stay at Bama.

He is a Soph. He aint going to the NFL. He might as well switch positions like Braxton Miller did at Ohio State when Cardale Jones won them the NC and JT Barrett already had done well as a Freshman. Now Braxton is in the NFL as a WR. Hurts is good enough of an athlete to be a difference maker in the Bama offense at RB or WR. Maybe he can even play DB. Don't know. He looks physical. Transferring is not going to help him in the eyes of the NFL scouts at QB. He just don't have the passing skill set to do it. That Freshman looks light years ahead of him passing wise.

Ohio State only had one loss last year. That was to Penn State on that blocked FG. No two loss has made it yet.

What he gonna switch to? TE? He can't play any other position. He can barely play QB.

He can play WR Beans. Dude is fast and he got some size. LOL. He is a good athlete. So it aint like he sucks at running. Dude could be a star at another position.
