Brittney Griner, game changer!

Who better to receive that answer from than someone whose already gone through the experience.

Well, if you think that anything, including women's basketball, needs your (a nobody) approval before it becomes relevant, you (well it Christmas so I won't say it). LOL! Always a sorry mf nobody who can't do a dayum thing for themselves to discredit what others are doing! Merry Christmas Nobody!

B/Griner is a phenom in Women's College Basketball. She is clearly the toughest matchup in the game of Women's College Basketball. She has to be accounted for at both ends of the floor. She does change the way other teams have to play, but she has not changed Women's College Basketball. By that I mean:
  • Other post players can run with her. So, she is not abnormally fast.
  • She has not shown significant game outside of the post (really has not had to), so she does not force other teams to be concerned about her on the perimeter.
  • She does not have exceptional handles.
  • Though she has the ability, she doesn't score just off the charts. That is in keeping with the philosophy at BU.
So, the truth is that we have yet to see the effect of B/Griner on Women's Basketball. She has tremendous potential and the sky is truly the limit. We will find it out when she gets to a level where she is pushed to demonstrate how much better she can be as a player.

I watched her last night....she has no left hand. She cannot go to her left. She gets away with a lot because she is taller than everyone she plays against. Her coach should be whipped with a rose bush for not helping her to develop. She will get killed in the WNBA or those overseas pro teams. A&M (puke puke gag gag) proved last year she can be beaten when she faces comparable talent and good coaching. A lot of coaches are intimidated by her size but if they would game plan for her instead of throwing in the towel you'd see that she is not all that.

Sorry, but a healthy Candace Parker would school her all day(just ask Sylvia Fowles). Griner is just taller and stronger than those other girls. As far as skill goes, there are many other players that are better her.

She has a left, Herb. I'm not sure if she uses it extensively during gametime though. Those double-teams come quick before she can gather herself, IMHO.

If Elena Della Donne would have stayed at UConn she would be the talk of womens basketball.

I saw Elena Della Donne play for the first time last night in a loss against Kansas. The first word that came to mind when I saw her play was "SMOOVE". That girl can flat out ball! She has a well rounded game. She runs the floor well, shes got nice handles, and that mid-range jumper of hers is deadly. She went for 34 points last night.

She's 6'5 and can shoot from anywhere on the floor and handle the ball. I remember hearing about her in High School a few years ago then she dropped off the map after she left UConn.

I saw several times last night she was going one on one and the easier shot would have been on the left side of the rim but she went to the right side to shoot a twisting off balance shot with a difficulty degree of 10 (on a scale of 1 to 10). With her height advantage a double team should mean very little to her.
