Move over, Britney, Whitney Houston is ready to take the title of comeback queen. And David Foster, the legendary hit-maker for stars ranging from Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion to Madonna and Michael Jackson, is finally talking about his reunion with the superstar.

Foster collaborated with Houston on the blockbuster soundtrack single "I Will Always Love You." He knows fans are wondering if she's ready to resume her hugely successful career after years battling her personal demons.

Well, you can best believe the CD will go platinum because the industry (and Clive Davis) will make sure of it. Whitney is someone that people WANT to see do well. She looked good at the Grammy's (wasn't sure if she was high or grandstanding though)....but I think her return could be phenomenal.

Why not? She killed it at Clive's Grammy party this year. She does not have the range she use to but is still 99% better then every other chick in the game right now. Also there is a market open for some adult music at this time and she will fill that void.
 
I mean Im sure she still got the voice. thats not a factor. But is she still relevant(sp) to being marketable?? didn't she come out with an album in the early 2000's that didn't do so well? She been gone for to long and been in the media to much. Ie. Brittany Spears

You must have missed the part where Brittany's new album ( which is kinda hot) sold 500,000 copies in it's first week and debuted at #1. And her concerts are selling out all over the place.

Whitney's Just Whitney album came out in 2002 suxed because she let Bobby Brown and Missy produce it and they tried to go the club mix/hip-hop route. But the cd still sent platinum.

Now that she is back with Clive Davis I see him sprinkling that fame dust on her again and making her next album that fire.

He is already talking about having her do a duet with Jennifer Hudson. I am still jamming "Heartbreak Hotel", which had Faith Evans and Kelly and "Same Script, Different Cast" with Deborah Cox. Can you image the hotness of a Whitney/J-Hud duet :tup:
 
I think her come back if she cleans all of her act up would be a success..
Michel'le is reported to be working on a new album...

Her first one with Dre was the isht, the second one under Suge Knight was horrible... Basically horrible direction and production for her.... So I hope this one is just right.. Should be since she is picking her own production...
 
I'm not the least bit interested in hearing a washed up Whitney Houston cd. How about releasing Being Bobby Brown Season One on DVD. Now that I could go for!!!

A washed up Whitney is far better than a lot of artist out today....lol

I'm not here to disagree with that, because I too feel it could be better and should be better... However, I do believe there is still great talent that's out there that is going unheard... But if Whitney comes back with the right production, I believe it will be a pretty good listen....

They all are younger better looking and have chops. yes Beyonce has a funny sound but I still think she can sing.

Aint nobody checking for big ballets anymore.

Whitney has a different sound then those people up there. Just like you can't compare Jill Scott and Keyshia Cole you can compare those up there to Whitney. Also people are "checking" for songs that sound good. :argue2:

But like someone said early don't buy the CD if you are not "checking" for her sound.

My wife been trying to save whitney in her mind for years. Who would have thunk Mary J would have a longer career that Whitney. Great voice doesn't always translate into common sense.

I'll go on record as never being a Whitney fan and if her demographic is 30+ women and older she is in trouble. You all don't buy music. Young kids, young girls and young boys buy most CD's so it aint going platinum. She hasn't been relivant for years so out the blue a decent song wont help.

See Chick flicks for more proof. Women don't go see them in droves. You guys do not support your own.

Shaw......Keisha Cole has no business on that list. She would have not even been heard of if she came out in the 80s with Whitney.

Whitney is way better than those women if she is on point. The only one on that list that is even close is Jill Scott. Alicia Keys is great but not the singer Whitney was. Mary J is a different type of singer.
