At the @1:17 mark, look to your right and notice the Doll with the Teletubby physique.

Dude either you're blind or you just don't like women. BTW it's funny you mention the Dolls. Super Bowl performances. Dolls (by themselves) 2 Boom 0.

Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Seems like a small group of folks from a certain school have resorted to denigrating an entire band and dance squad who were chosen by HBCU folks as the best overall band in the land. I wonder why they've resorted to such tactics. Nevermind, I know why.:snicker:

She's fat! Looks like they put "lip stick" on a _ _ _. They look nothing like the Dolls doing the Doc Greggs era!

Know when YOU'VE been defeated, my friend. This past fall, in Jackson, I almost felt bad for jSU.....ALMSOT!

let me tell you what that was about. JSU fans came into Memorial deflated. We figured our team would lose and that was our primary concern. We know we have the best band in the land, nothing to prove there but since SU was kickin our azz, your band was able to rock Memorial. The energy was sucked from the JSU side. ....had nothing to do with the bands. Then when SU boo'ed up coming in, that didn't help. However, the BOOM got to the seats, and put SU in their place... bandwise. THEN the game started...lol

BTW, I think SU is a great band.

Wait...they've (jSU) never done a SUperbowl?

If a Superbowl was in Jackson, we would be able to say we did. Has SU done Superbowls outside of New Orleans? When the NFL comes to MS, JSU is always the halftime entertainment.

VERY true! JSU band alums have stepped up as of late tho. It took them forever to even get an account set up... smh

Don't believe that hype JR is trying to feed you, JSU alums are donating money to the Boom, one alumnus even donated $500,000.00 to the Boom! JR is just envious the Jukebox can't afford to march a 300 piece band.

Dude, it doesn't take 20/20 vision to see that Dolls thighs are rubbing together!

300? I don't like big bands. I rather March 128 like I did most of time in the Juke. 160 in 85 was big enough for me. I ain't jealous of these new school bands. Ain't like any version could top what I marched in. Too old to be jealous of bands that stay home. Lol.

No. But they could have asked JSU. You ain't far. Lol. We have played in Minneapolis for the Vikings. Bottom line is the Juke is more accomplished, more well known and more traveled than the Boom. I have no hate for the Boom at all. Grew up on them. Better Boom then of course. But SU has always been more famous. This with out a legendary football program the majority of Doc's career. Whether folks think that HBCU poll which isn't like it garnered million of votes. Pretty much folks voting multiple times. I rather take what the majority of the country thinks about SU Band. Our you tube videos get more views than that poll that was taken. And let's be real. JSU has left it's roots of what type and style of band they became known for. At least SU still trying to maintain tradition. Still no ear rings and any old kind of hair hanging out of hats. We stick to being SU. Everybody else raised the sizes of their band just to compete with the Jukebox. Study the history and evolution of how bands were and what they are now. Only a few still doing what they did well. Now it's memorex.

I would not call USA Today and the NCAA a small group. Just be happy yall out voted folks in that poll. It ain't the gospel. Lol. But if you think so then great.

Come on JR, Haymer is surely taking away su's roots. Dark skinned girls with thick rubbing thighs ain't what ole Doc had in mind when he was the head man.
And being wild and unruly surely isn't what the Great Doc had in mind either.

jstank talking about dancers having thick thighs is like Beyoncé criticizing Halle Berry for being light skinned. Insane smh......I expect that from a SUper Bowl-LESS organization though. "snicker"

JR, quit it.

The BOOM has changed and so has SU. This is not 1985 for either band. Heck I prefer the director BEFORE Taylor took over the first time. If anything, Taylor changed the BOOM...and it wasn't go be like SU. He just wanted to entertain. But don't come acting like the Jukebox has not changed and don't act like ya'll didn't suck (relatively) during the Jackson era. Your instrumentation has also changed. Also, i won't call everyone Memorex. I think certain bands like JSU, SU and even GSU have an identity. However, 2-3 bands have copied dayum near everything from the BOOM.

Vibe magazine and ESPN wasn't. Hell the NCAA ranking wasn't 50 years ago either. Name a major publication that has ranked the sonic womb.

Fun facts:

• The Sonic Boom was named best marching band at this year’s Historically Black College Colleges and Universities Media Summit. It has performed at halftime for several NFL teams and has been featured on HLN and in ESPN The Magazine.

• Included in the band’s performances are the famed Jackson Five drum majors, the War and Thunder drumline, and the Prancing J–Settes, the dance team.

So you're dissing and disrespecting an HBCU and Black media summit group simply because JSU was ranked higher than su? You downing your own kind cause you mad? Well....get over it.
