Bobby Knight?

I originally thought the kid was black when I first heard about the incident over the radio until I saw the picture in this thread. Didn't change my opinion one bit.

Why the h@ll would you think the kid was black? How many black kids have you heard whining about what Bobby Knight did?

Where are you getting at? I assumed the kid was black. So what? I still never/don't have a problem with what happened.
 
Young bloods today are too sensitive and have a chip on thier shoulders today! :smh:

I saw that clip and it was nothing. I wish they had clips of of Jimmy Valvano tapping his players up side the head to make remind them to think and get their heads out of their azzes when they made stupid jr. high mistakes.

Anyway that was nothing compared the way my grandmother went upside my head with her fist.:lol:

WEAK minded players today.
 
Bottom line is you dont put your hands on nobody if they aint your kids. I wish I was number 20. Knight wouldve gotten dropped!!

This is basketball though Marc. I have never seen anything like this. You have a choice in the M4, most bands do this. Most Basketball schools dont. You dont sign up to play basketball just to get belittled on TV. Thats just the way it is. The way Bob Knight was screeming at dude and the force that he hit him with is enough for me to knock dude on his ass. And Im not weak or nothing like that. I come from the streets and if you get hit like that or a simple hand in my face would start a fight. If Mr. Graham hit me like that, Mr. Graham would get floored as well! Everybody is different, my dad disciplined me and he knocked me up side my head. He also said "DONT LET NOBODY PUT THEIR HANDS ON YOU"!!! What gives him the authority to do that??

It's the same thing with Bobby Knight. You know what you're gonna get. If you don't feel that it's appropriate then don't join the team. I've seen things worse than lifting a kid's chin before.
 
You dont supposed to get hit by a coach bottom line. Now if they agreed to this before they signed up then thats a different story. No kid should expect to hit by a coach no matter who it is.

I wouldn't because they should have known how Bobby Knight was before they signed for the scholarship. If they did not want to get tapped upside the head,then don't play for Bobby Knight. :cool:
 
so, because Knight has slapped, choked, and hit players before, are yall saying that any player who signs with him should expect the same treatment.
And when they get it, it's okay?

If the kid was black, it wouldn't change my opinion. I remember watching basketball as a kid, and seeing coaches pop kids back into reality all the time. They weren't just a bunch of damned titty babies like you see these days. Man ya azz up!

Hell, if his parents ain't mad, I ain't either.

Ain't like Bobby Knight just the other night started laying hands on other folks' kids.

I don't agree with him choking that kid when he was at IU, but I can understand his actions because if I'm not mistaken he comes from a military background. I also didn't agree with him taking a crap wiping his butt and walking out of the bathroom with the tissue saying that's how they're playing. There is a line that should be drawn but in this case what he did (lifting a kid's chin is not serious).

Everybody comes from some kind of background. And that background doesnt give you justification to do whatever you wanna do.

suppose that kid came from a background where he strikes back when somebody strikes him.

sure, you may have seen old school coaches do it years ago, but it's a new day. Hell, we can all remember how things were done when we were growing up and how different things are done now.
I LMAO@the thought of schools not paddling kids nowadays, when I think back on the beatdowns some teachers delivered to kids back in da day.

Kids today are weak. I asked one kid who was pretty tall and he was in high school,I asked why he wasn't playing basketball, and he was reply "because I don't want nobody yelling at me." Weak.sensitive.

Political correctness is sapping this country's strength.

When Knight slaps, chokes or hits a player, I'll say he's wrong and should be punished. This case, he didn't slap, choke or hit the player. And please don't try to convince me that it fell into one of them scenarios.

Do you. I'm from a differing sort of culture. I'm teaching my kids to demolish (literally) everybody else's kids. In everything. Period. And, I want strong forces behind them to push them towards that point.

Bob Knight needs to be replicated 10 times and interjected into the SWAC so that the bullisht I've seen recently will stop. Because this is some straight up bush-league bullisht these SWAC ADs and coaches are putting on the field of play and not graduating @ 90+%. :tdown:
 
Don't like B. Knight but this is overblown bullshat.
He has to realize that his past will make EVERYTHING he do a big issue in the media.

They just waiting for him to really F-up.

My high school basketball coach was white and the whole team was black and he made us man up plenty of times. He never hit one of us to do it though.
