It's been a while since I bought any movies. Just hasn't been anything out. I last bought Harry Potter and Jarhead. HP was great, and I haven't finished watching jarhead. But I enjoyed the movie. I was near the end.

I'll be picking up King Kong today!

Picking up KK on the way home.

I bought "Derailed" last week, and it was pretty good, definitely didn't see that ending coming. I also picked up "Walk The Line" and it wasn't bad, but not as great as it was made out to be. I guess with "Ray" picking up the nominations it picked up, they couldn't short change Johnny Cash, and I'm not saying it to be difficult, or doing the black angle, because I like Johnny Cash.

Out of a sheer will to spend a dollar, I bought Usher's "In The Mix." I was actually surprised at the movie, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and it was really entertaining. Not a must have though.

If any of you want a good laugh, "The Bad News Bears" is not bad either. Yeah, you've seen it done before, but it was funny. Oh, and you know I picked up my main man Harry P.

NICE

D~,

I tried to get In the Mix but, it was all rented out...I forgot about the Bad News Bears. I believe my son wants to see that one, too.

Last week I bought "A History Of Violence," and it was great. I never saw that movie coming, and if you like some violence in your movies, then I suggest you check this one out. Viggio Mortenson is great in this movie.

NICE

After Hidalgo I thought he was going to be tight cast because of his role in Lord of the Rings...

I had this movie, last week...never got a chance to watch it.

I bought some old joints today...

Bad News Bears on a D-Nice rec
Rollbounce - for the wife and I decided to give it another chance
Deuce Bigalo, European Gigalo - its like a bad black flick, but w/ white folks
Must Love Dogs - needed something to round out 2 for 20

And for nostalgia, I bought Six Pack, starring Kenny Rogers. I loved this movie as a kid. It was about a race car driver and this band of rogue orphans! It is hilarious!

And tomorrow, Chronicles of Narnia!

Man Duece Bigalo??? You got some extra doe dawg that you didn't tell me about? You must have, because to buy that schit, that dollar must've been burning a hole in your pockets. ha ha ha

I remember Six Pack, it was funny then, but I don't know if I'd like it now. Sort of like "Breakin."

NICE

I hope like hell it is as good as I remember. I just can't take another disappointment like I had after watching Breakin. I still can't believe how awful that movie is. The script, acting, plot...........everything but the dancing.

They may not be your type of hype, but I really enjoyed Doom and Jarhead. But please don't waste your time and money renting In The Mix with Usher. That movie was HORRIBLE TO WATCH. I couldn't make it past the first 6 mins.

Hey Suge, Brokeback Mountain came out yesterday, and I know you already have it. I told the wife yesterday, that Suge has been on pincushions waiting on this flick, and I bet he left the school at lunchtime to go get it.:emlaugh:

NN, I'm not saying the In The Mix is bad, but when you've seen as many Bad Black Movies, as we've seen, it should be nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture. lol

NICE

I watched RollBounce again last night, and I must say I did enjoy it more. The wife loved the movie. I guess sometimes, bootleg isn't always the best...

Umm Brokeback came out yesterday, I didn't even know that. But I see you did. I bet you had it marked on your calender and everything!

I told you, you were sleeping on Roll Bounce. Hey man, I didn't know Brokeback was coming out either, I was in Wal-Mart to get some cleaning supplies, and "The Chronicles Of Narnia," which I purchased, but I did see some dude running out of the video section trying not to be seen, that had a close resemblence of Sweet Nupe.

NICE

I can't believe you guys watched Roll Bounce. It could not possibly have had plot. sheesh.

My wife did rent it but she watched when I was not around.

About three weeks ago, I watched Fantastic Four: Entertaining but not all that great.

Harry Potter: I tried to watch it twice....couldn't stomach it.

and 40 Year old Virgin: It was pretty good. Entertaining throughout.

This past weekend, we watched Single White Female 2: Bad acting but for this genre of movies, it was good. Of course it was predictable though.

North Country: Long but good and historical. The heroin never really grows on you though. Maybe she is too tough.

High Tension: Gory!! Gory!! Gory!! ...actually, I had already seen about 80% of this movie months ago. The ending was as surprising as promised. But if you don't like blood, this movie is not for you.

I went to the movies a few months ago to see Derailed: It was good at the beginning but I think anyone can figure it out before the end.

I also saw the movie with Bruce Willie and the black dude....it was pretty good. You just wanted to tell the black dude to shut the f up!!!

I rented Domino the other night. It was a pretty decent movie. It's based on a true story...sort of!!! If you've seen the movie, then you know what I'm talking about...LOL

Hubby and I rented movies this past weekend. We just finished everything last night.

We saw Jarhead (good movie! ), National Treasure (decent movie), Saw II (crazy good  ) and Hostel (SURPRISINGLY good! )

I'm not a Quentin Tarentino fan, but Hostel was a wickedly good move. Sick but good! I was quite surprised. After he lost the h3ll out of me on Pulp Fiction, I had pretty much lost interest in his movies. But my husband wanted to see it, so I sat through it and glad I did.

The last movies I bought were King Kong and Fun w/ Dick and Jane, and I still haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

King Kong, Bad News Bears........both were great. I am not a big special effects guy, but the monsters on skull island in king kong were fantastic!

The next month is looking bleak for DVD's!

Last Holiday -today, only buying it because the wife wants it, I am not a Latifah fan
Big Momma's House 2 - 9th
Different World, S2 - 30th
Underworld, Glory Road, Firewall - 6/6
Boondocks - 6/13

I got Hostel, and I thought it was cool as hell, I guess a part 2 will be coming soon.

Suge, don't feel bad bruh, I gotta get Last Holiday as well. Narnia was cool, and I saw King Kong at the theater, and loved it. I didn't take your advice, and I bought the Honeymooners last week, and I was disappointed from the jump, especially when I noticed it was rated PG. How did I miss that?

Yeah bruh, the fall & winter movies were pretty weak, which means I get to save some doe on movies for a minute. Other than Glory Road, and Final Destination 3, I'm really not looking forward to anything for a while.

NICE

I LOVE Latifah, but I'm not a huge fan of her movies either. I bought the $5 bootleg DVD of Last Holiday, and it's been sitting on my TV stand since January.

Wasn't it?! I'll be looking for part 2, if it comes out (on DVD)!

Since I have a 9 month old and my husband refuses to do babysitters (and I agree), Blockbusters will be our only way of seeing these new movies.

Since I agreed to sit through Hostel with him, I got picks next go round at Blockbusters and he'll have to watch the movies I want to see. I told him, I want to see "Brokeback Mountain" and he looked at me like I was crazy!

I forgot about Narnia. That movie was great! I wasn't up on the stories so it was all new to me and i loved it. Plus it wasn't too dayum long like Lord of the Rings. I am ready for the next chronicle!

From reading what you two have to say, I may have to check out Hostel. It just didn't catch my attention at the theaters.

D...I told you, I told you, and I told you again. Honeymooners was awful. I just don't understand how you can take Epps, Cedric, and Leguazamo and the movie is still not funny.

Whaaaaat, your scary arse is gonna watch a horror movie????

Well considering the new type of horro movie, where the movies are more gorey, than slasher, or supernatural you should be OK. ha ha ha ha

Man, it must've been the PG rating, cuz that schit sucked like a porno star, if not that, then it must've been having Cedric, Gabrielle Union, and Mike Epps trying to act like Jackie Gleason, Audrey Meadows, and Art Carney, all the while being Black. If they would've slipped out of character one more time, I would've screamed.

NICE
