4 brothers is out tomorrow!!! Great! I'll pick that up on the way to work tomorrow or wednesday! And I never saw the Gospel either, all these movies came out when my wife was on deployment and I didn't go to the show! I did check Hustle and Flow though, but I'll have to get both of those when they come out too. Let me go see Best Buys web site.

Kneegrow we had a skaing rink in OP. I just couldn't even go because they always had fights and my parents wouldn't let the phat mack go until he was in 10th grade. By that time, it just wasn't the same.....but that still doesn't change the fact that Roll Bouce sucked. The only didfference between Roll Bouce and Phat Beach is that Roll Bouce had some money behind it!
And "Hey Beyotch, The Grits are cold"?.....man that sounds like a good title.

All I need is a couple of out of work rappers.....
umm I'll take Mc Shan, and DJ Smurf
some low budget comedians....anybody from comic view
Clifton Powel, Reynaldo Ray, Brian Hooks and the star of my movie
Dayron Southboy!!

Let's see, you could also add Monica Calhoun, Melinda Williams, and Anna Marie Horsford as the grandmother, oh, and don't forget you have to throw the 2 Big Mc, and Isaac from The Love Boat.

NICE

You mean this guy....

Suge and Derrick,

Hustle & Flow came out this week...did y'all purchase your copy yet?

Also, that movie called Red Eye was released...I heard that one pretty much sucked, though.

Okay Suge has Hustle and Flow, but I haven;t taken it out of the wrapper yet. I have a long weekend so I plan to watch Hustle and Flow, The Gospel, and some BBM that I picked up from Wal Mart. I saw H&F @ the show and I actually liked it. That is a big deal for me, because I went in and fully expected the movie to suck.

Lately I seen..
Wedding Crashers - It was funny at the start, then tapered off and started trying to be a real movie. Still had some funny scenes

4 Brothers - still haven't finished this one. I started watching it, but it was way too slow and the wife and I were sleepy. I will try again this weekend.

As I said earlier, I also bought the gospel, but it was 19.99....and I don't know what it wasn't on sale. They did the same thing with the Honeymooners when it came out.

Other than that I only bout movies to add to the collection. Mary Poppins, Fraggle Rock(I love Fraggle Rock), My Fair Lady, Goonies, and a couple of others that I can't think of, I'll have to check when I get home. I forgot about our movie thread.

P.S. - Thanks W for saving me from that other post, LOL!

Hey, why didn't you pick up another copy of Mary Poppins for me, and mail it, dammit.

anywho...I loved the movie, The Gospel...My Mother and I went to see it, and I thought she was going to shout, at the end. :emlaugh: She was up clapping and sanging loud, like she was in church.

I haven't seen the Honeymooners yet....I'll pick it up, this w/e from blockbuster, before I buy it. Hadn't seen Wedding Crashers yet, either. It looks funny, though.

Hey I picked up this BBM today called Fair Game..I'll have to let you know how it turns out. Looks like it will be an indy film along the lines of 30 to life, or Love, Sex, & Eating the bones, both of which I actually enjoyed.

Also if you go to Wal Mart you can get Hustle and Flow & The Wood in a two pack for 19.99, I forgot to mention that earlier. Plus I bought the Transporter 2, it was in a two pack with Rising Sun. Part one was off the chain. Hopefully part 2 is just as good, even though it didn't have much theater success.

ok Suge, thanks for the Wal-Mart update. You know that's my favorite store. :D

What's the Transporter about? I don't think I've seen that one.

It's about this guy who has to "transport" packages from one location to the next. He is very discrete in his work, but has some problems w/ the shipment he is making. It is an action movie, lots of explosions, fights, and more explosions. I love the original! But now that we are talking about it, I realize that I don't own the original......I'll have to start watching for it to go on sale!

Plus I have some gift cards to Blockbuster, so maybe I can find it on the 3/25 rack!

ok...I, too love action movies, so I will look for this one to rent, first. Gotta make sure I like them enough to purchase them.

I didn't pick up H&F this week, dem niggra's at the Black Circuit City picked it clean, and the upscale Black Best Buy was out when I went there last night, so I'll have to wait for 3 for $24 at Blockbuster to get it.

Saw, "The Gospel" at the movies, and like it, so we picked that up, I also got Wedding Crashers, The Garden Of (I can't think of the other part of the movie's name). I have only seen 4B's in Widescreen, and I don't like widescreen movies, so that's going on the 3F24 list as well.

If any of you are thinking about getting Red Eye, don't waste your money, or time. This movie sucked big time, and I'm kicking myself in the arse for buying it. Hell, I actually wanted to see this at the movies.

NICE

This past weekend, I got:

Transporter 2 (Saw it in the theatre and I liked it, but not as much as the first one)
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (good movie!)

Brothers Grimm (pretty good movie...interesting special effects)

Serendipity (hadn't watched it yet)

Unleashed (with Jet Li...hadn't watched it yet).

Man...it's good to know people who got the DVD hook-up! :D

I saw this black movie called, Shackles w/DL Hughley in it. It was pretty good..have y'all seen it?

Anyway, I picked up Wedding Crashers and Into the Blue as well, but haven't watched WC yet.

NTel - Unleashed is one of the worst movies ever. The plot sucks, and there is not as much Jet Li as you would like. When you see it you will understand the title, but otherwise you will be stuck thinking...why did I buy this mess.

I forgot about the Brothers Grimm, I want to see that movie, but I will have to wait for 2.25 at blockbuster. I can't pay 19.99.

I watched The Gospel and I enjoyed that movie. It was better than I expected, but i am glad that I didn't see it at the show. I know how you kneegrows love to starts singing and clapping when yall hear a gospel song.

If you see Fair Game.....don't buy it. This goes down as one of the worst of my BBM collection. The plot was bad! I mean bad, and the movie didn't flow. Half the time I didn't understand what was supposed to be happening in the movie. Just plain awful!

Didn't have a chance to watch Transporter2. I was too busy watching Rebound for the 20th time, and watching Hustle and Flow, the Last Dragon, School Daze, and Grease 2.

What comes out today? And speaking of movies...doesn't it seem like there are no really good movies out?

I will DEFINITELY get that when it comes out!!! :jump:

I got School House Rock as soon as it was released, too....

Man, I wish I could find a Letter Man t-shirt!!! :D

Suge and DNICE,

I finally got around to watching the Wedding Crashers on last night..you talk about one funny ass movie. :lmao: I :lmao: all night, at the movie. I'm glad I rented it.

:lmao:

Have y'all actually watched this one, yet?

The Wedding Crashers had its moments, but overall it was good. I guess I feel the same way about it as I did 40 y/o virgin. It was hilarious at the start, then it slowed down when trying to tell the love story part. But Vince Vaugn is hilarious. It just seemed like they subdued Owen Wilson.

But the football scene, and the dinner scene with the grandmother were hilarious! And then just when I needed a spark..in comes Will "For Real" of Will farrel to the rest of you! That guy is funny!

I thought all three of those guys were funny as hell, but yes, the dark haired guy, (I guess that's Vince)...he stole the movie. That jack-off scene under the table had me ROTF.

I have yet to see the 40 year old Virgin...I may just wait for DirecTV to show that one.

Transporter 2 - Go get that! Aside from the fact that they tried to make him a good guy(if you saw the 1st one, then you understand what I mean) this movie was excellent. Plot was good, fight scenes were great, and there was this chic in the movie that was one bad SOB! She was bout it!

That's all for now. I haven't purchased any movies in two weeks. There just hasn't been anything worth my money. I have been busy building the collections with old movies that I just happen not to have!

Suge,

I haven't seen Transporter, part one yet, so I need to watch that one first. Also, I rented Flightplan & The Constant Gardener on yesterday...two good movies. If you haven't seen those, check them out.

I also got The Fog & Lord of War...haven't watched those yet, though. I keep trying to get Two for the Money, but it's always checked out.

I finally rented Two for the Money....

That's all I have to say...check it out, if you haven't already.

I watched 2 for the money this weekend....I have to disagree dub. I didn't like it at all. I was waiting for something, but I just didn't get what I was looking for.

Sugeskill & Warndabert disagree on this one folks.

I picked up Saw II this morning. I'll have to wait and check it out this weekend.

wow, I thoroughly enjoyed it, Suga. Sorry you were disappointed...let me know how Saw II is.

Rented some movies, over the w/e and Derailed was a good one. That's the only one I got a chance to watch, so far. I fell asleep on another one, but I forget the name of it. I think it was called the History of Violence, or something like that.
