I will try and attend the competition to support my school, besides I usually watch the crakers on t.v. anyways.....

AAMU won the cheerleaders competition and we are still the champs.

VOLLEYBALL, CHEERLEADING & HOP SCOTCH
 
The only reason AAMU won is because the Southern University Cheerleading squad did not participate last year, they participated in the NCA and are currently second in the ENTIRE Nation. This year they will be doing individual events at Black Nationals, incluing Derrick and Tremayne Baker Tumbling. If you have seen the squad recently you know who I am talking about. They get more crowd than the team does.
 
Don't tell them that, SimplyRedd. Let them think they actually won something. SU cheerleaders have been winning national awards for years. Lots of credit goes to the coach, James for keeping the squad at such a high level every year.
 



So what you are saying is that AAMU lit a fire under SU. It appears that we continue to bring the best out in SU.
 
Cheerleading! Who cares. You A&M people are sad. If you are going to brag on something talk about an academic acheivement or winning a championship in a real sport. Cheerleading is not a real sport.

I am glad you mentioned academics.

AAMU recognized by the NCAA: We made the most significant improvement in the graduation rate of our athletes than any NCAA member school. So that means that you other folks are still not showing any improvement in your graduation rate.

AAMU received accredation for its new School of Engineering.

I could list more but these will do for now.

We believe in Title IX up here in normal.

Cheerleading is a REAL SPORT Let me see your butt get out there and let someone thrown you in the air. When I was in high school the cheerleaders had to do weight training just like the football team and baskteball teams. We have to learn new techniques and all that. Being a cheerleader was a fulltime job...

We worked hard for little or no props unless you were on a great team. Do you think it is easy to do a controlled round off. Or a perfect toe touch...

MD: Thank you for sharing some meaningful information with us us. As I said earlier keep the bragging to real sports and academics. Cheerleading in my opinion isn't a real sport. As for Tit IX; I could give a possums Arse about that.
