That is correct; the commentators wear hat (or helmet) of the band (or team) that they pick as the favorite to any given matchup. That said, it had nothing to do with practice times of anyone being late. Bottom line, they preferred Southern's Band and the Tiger Football team. I knew our band was gonna kick butt but I did not think our football team would, thus, my picks were the same as Lee Corso's.

BTW, Merry Christmas to you all.

It's because you guys was late for your rehersal that day. We were sittin' in the parking lot allowing you some of our time to practice. By doing this we missed the event!!! You guys threw the schedule off all day!!!!

You even came in the stadium for pregame late and we had to cut our pre-game show on the spot because we were on TV Time!!! The only reason he was wearing your hat was because we were in rehersal.
The reason we were still in rehersal is because you guys was late and threw off our shedule!!!!

In the future,....work a little more on keeping up with the schedule!!!! :slap:!!!!

Well if Southern was so late then why did Southern get to do it and gspoo didn't. Your logic makes no sense. SU late-Gameday gspoo-on time no gameday. :confused:

That's not even in question about gsu being on Gameday. That fact of the matter is that your band was not picked by the commentators as THE BEST. Being late had nothing to do with that.

The fact of the matter is you were not there. If you were,... you would understand why suCKS was there and not "The World Famed"!!!! Read what I posted. Souther's Band showed up late for their rehersal. "The Grambling Band" was parked in the parking lot . They (Grambling) were already ahead of their scheduled time for rehersal. Southern's Band showed up close to the time Grambling was scheduled to practice. The directors from Southern and Grambling conversed and decided to allow Southern time to run their show even though it would affect Grambling's schedule by a good 40 mins. This would mean something had to be bumped off Grambling's schedule,.... GAME DAY!!!! That's why I respect Grambling's style and class so much while others just absolutely hate. Though we are rivals and are tryin' to out do one another,.... A mature bandsmen and/or alumnus knows how to seperate all that rival crap and when to execute diplomacy for the sake of the bigger picture. Things happen and whether you like it or not we are one big family in the same boat.

Secondly,....I don't give a flying fart what those commentators think. They know absolutely NOTHING about HBCU Bands!!!!
Perhaps,...and I'm just spit ballin' here,.....perhaps they had to use a tactic to include something from Southern in their programming. They knew your team would later be destroyed by the G-Men. They had to find some element from Southern for political, inclusive and rating purposes.

Let me tell you one thing...I was watching t.v. and I saw a show with the top 10 worst sports moments. Number 1 was a football game when the RB ran for a TD and ran into a trombone player in the band who was on the field because (I guess) they though the game was over. The screen flashed to one of those comedian commentators and he said "The trombone player took it awfully well... but if this was Grambling..."

The t.v. flashed to guess who...s u fighting

Our name Grambling was linked in a negative aspect to s u:shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: WE DONT EVER WANT TO PUT SU IN ANYTHING WE DO BUT WHAT YOU DID PUT OUR NAME ON IT!!!!
 
Man yall SU fans are some HATERS!!!! And for the record we were late because of yall slows ashes. You all were the reason our pre-game was cut short, and it was yall fault that we didn't get taped for ESPN. But we let SU get there little t.v. time since we take it all up anyway!!!

Dude i marched in the jukebox in the 70`s.....I`remember watching GSU band in the late 60`s,,,:nod2: ....Would you like to know more about your roots ??? You know, I worked with the BET crew for a brief moment on this GSU series and I think it is good that Grambling will be appearing on BET in a positive light...unlike that mess College Hill the first season...that was SU on there right?

And as a former employee of ESPN (who worked closely with the whole SWAC/MEAC challenge) i know for a fact that GSU will be getting there time to shine on one of their many networks. So y'all just hold ya breaths cuz it's coming!

And I do believe the only reason SU got so much tv time around the Bayou Classic was because Old Man Greggs was leaving....that made SU's band newsworthy---for that moment.

SO CONGRATULATIONS GSU!!!

Your post is packed with more Bullshat than a baby's diper. :smh: :smh: Anything with grumble playing music is not a positive light. That's eternal darkness. College Hill is a realilty T.V. Show, everything will not be positive so you have to take the good with the bad. Like I said before the people know sugar from shat that's why SU was chosen and gspoo wasn't. Like always the grumble marching band has to piggyback off of the football team (Is Eddie Rob the band director?)...smh

SU's band has been newsworthy for years little girl where have you been? SU's band packs stadium's while gsu's band plays for empty HOME games. The JUKEBOX is respected by our peers while ya'll are laughed at. Since you wanna name websites how about you go to s w a c f a n s. com and see what ADULTS are saying about your little group you call a band. Go to the5thquarter.com and post something about a grumble. You know as well as everyone does that grumble ain't even a top 5 band in the SWAC. The only style grumble still can say they have is shaking your arses on the field. Ya'll are trying to arrange and sound like SOUTHERN.
