1. Honda - SU has been invited to the Honda BOTB's since the first year. We were actually suppose to go to the 2nd HBOTB's but we had to decline because of the Parade of Champions with SU and LSU. Honda offers THE JUKEBOX more than the other bands plus other incentives (letting the mass band play our arrangements and letting Doc direct them)

3. I could careless what you heard- You go to grumble so you couldn't have heard much at all. For one Southern has a larger enrollment than gspoo and has more members to tryout for the band. Not to mention we have harder admisson requirements and band standards than gspoo. I have a tape of kids from Jackie Robinson High School in New York stating that they're applying to Southern. We have kids from Cali all the way to NY that are members so you not hearing about Southern is simply your ignorance.

4. World famed of what?- We are the Human Jukebox meaning we make people dance whereever we go. SU has been around the world and will continue to do even bigger things with Mr. Jackson in charge. If you are famous around the world for sounding like shat and looking like some ants after their pile has been kicked over then I don't think that's a positive
5. Finally you have admitted- Finally the truth comes out but sadly it's true, grumble's band could be a whole lot better if they wouldn't have lost their identity. They sound like an elephant farting. You know and I know.

and it's not my fault i didnt make it to su. they had poor recruiting skills. had nothing to do with my ignorance. isnt baton rouge the capital of LA? so why is it that little old grambling in the middle of no where is heard of more than SU located in the state's capital? enrollment may be larger there...that's because grambling simply cannot have that many students running around.
and the kids might apply but will they go???? that's what matters.
grambling has plenty of members in the band that are from every where up and down the east and west coast, from all over the south and midwest, and even from the middle america. we probably got some international students too. so what's your point?
and yes i did admit that gsu was not on point this year. but the first step to becoming great is learning to admit and accept your faults and correct them. not denying the truth. su has a problem with that which is why they will NEVER be great!

If the world don't give a isht about SU then why were we on NBC, ABC, ESPN (just so you know ABC was the year before Doc announced his retirement).
SU obviously can't have poor recruiting skills because we get more Valedictorians at SU than gspoo does. If Nelson Mandela, Steve Harvey, Babyface just to name a few know something about SU then I'm pretty sure we're nationally as well as internationally known. Don't think everyone is oblivious just because you are.
SU has plenty of students from all over in the band as well and they actually have talent unlike gsu.
You may be admitting the faults of the world lamed but they are not. We don't have off years or rebuilding years in the Jukebox. We reload, we are trendsetters. You're late we were great before Doc and we will be greater after Doc. grumble is a joke.

As for being "world famed", that is something that *rambling uses; no one named you that, you named yourself that. An old guy once told me that if you are good, you don't have to tell anyone that you are; they already know.
You stated that "there just another black school band", meaning that SU is just another band. First of all, you should have said "they are" or "they're" since you corrected the diaper. Secondly, and I am sure you really do already know this, SU is anything but just another band. You know it, I know it and everybody that knows anything about bands knows that.
Finally, I want to to take this time to applaud you for your honesty; your school's band really could have been better than it was this past year. But, then again, some folks have been saying that for many a year.

I just said they don't have the "world famed" title. GSU is "world famed." People i've talked to randomly around the country ask me about the bayou classic and I swear every time they ask me they say "yeah that's that game in new orleans, right? Grambling vs. that other school...what's their name?" SU is known but not as known as GSU. And if they are it's most likely a regional thing.
i look at it like this: i'm no band geek that breathes, eats, sleeps, and majors in band. i know im not "well informed" about band. I only know what I've seen in my years being at an hbcu. and this is what i've observed:
the honda botb seems to be a very high honor to participate in considering that only 2 schools are chosen from each conference with in the hbcu community. now, correct me on this if im wrong: the vote comes from fans, commissioners, and band directors??? i'm not even sure of that...
but if these individuals voted for their FAVORITE and MOST DESERVING band, and if SU is so well known & liked (especially by Honda) and just "KILLED" everybody's band this year, why arent they going? And i'm being very serious about this...since i dont know sh*t about band.
like i said earlier, i know why gsu isn't there and wasn't there last year...they've been slipping. but i still support them: good or no good. i'm not a fake fan who tells them what they want to hear...if they sucked i'm gonna tell them.

What you're not understanding is that grumble wasn't given the title the world famed. They are claiming to be that. We were given our name "THE HUMAN JUKEBOX". Ya'll are window shoppers. I know and have talked to plenty of people who don't know what a grumble is. People have stopped me when I had on my Human Jukebox gear to take pictures with me. We are not the self proclaimed world famed (window shoppers) our achievements speak for themselves.
You must have bad understanding. How many times do i have to tell you that "WE" (SU) won the HONDA BOTB's voting TWICE plus they offered us incentives to go. We declined and requested our name to be taken off the ballot because Dr. Greggs doesn't do any other battle of the bands other than the Bayou Classic. You are proving how much you know everytime you respond. Absolutely NOTHING.
Honda knows that if SU, FAMU, BCC, or JSU is there then the event is automatically a sell out.
