Well, I guess we know who doesn't have a good Pep Band....... I think the Band hopla is overrated anyway....... I go to watch the games first and farmost. I still go to the concession at half time of all games no matter what band is playing. Half time is for the women to scream, holler after the band, and hang on their nuts:nod:

First of all, Marching Bands in HBCUs is a phenomenon unlike any other. The people come to see the band more than the football team. Don't be mad about that. As for the other dude, if a pep band sucks it sucks and since yall want to go there, why is it that yall ***** never gets invitations to any events outside of football season? No one wants to have their events interrupted by fighting. That's probably why they didn't call yall for the Rose Bowl. Yall like to take credit for GSU getting the role in Drumline, well why didn't yall take it. Don't try to steal GSU's shine. U make SU seem like they the masters of something. Bull****. Everybody likes to talk about the BOTB for the Bayou, let's talk about the game the next day. The game where GSU out blew every song yall tried to play. Yall ain't just great. Yall ain't prove nothing to nobody besides these dumb***** kids who hear yall screamin on trumpet (WOW!) yall tubas sound terrible, by far the worst in the SWAC. If you listen to thecore of yall band, yall actually don't sound that hot. Learn other music levels besides triple f. Yall sound good from a distance, but up close.......:no:
Let's talk about the 2005 Bayou BOTB and Game, THEY KILLED YALL. All SU has is field show drills, and that is because yall been doin those drills since the early 80s, maybe even before that. Fuc all these people ridin SU's dyck cause I said before you are in no area to judge anybobody cause what has SU really done that GSU didn't set the standard for yall to do. Bytch if GSU didn't do the first Super Bowl, they set the bar for HBCU bands to shine. Now, ain't **** yall done that ain't due to GSU.

First of all "ye of little knowledge" SU gets invited to plenty of places. The jukebox is a staple for the Senior Bowl, not to mention during my tenure I attended two Presidential Inaugurations, and as far as the Rose Bowl- What other fools could the Rose bowl have gotten to dress up like Storm Troopers, and Chewbacca or whatever the hell yall were. And SU did turn down Drumline's offer to be a loser :lmao: (we are that good) .
Your stupidity is further shown by saying that "All SU has is field show drills".... hmm, hence the term "MARCHING BAND" (get a clue). Wow, and if thats the way you really feel abouth 2005 Bayou Classic....You really should lay off of the mind altering hallucinogens (Prolly 'shrooms?) * with the resurgence of Valley's band, *rampax is easily the worst band in the SWAC, and if it weren't for the two or three CIAA, and SIAC bands I haven't seen I would say the worst amongst all HBCUs.

Hey, the name is Grambling State University. Not *rampax, or whatever you want to call them. The bands title is the World Famed, not World Shamed. In the end say what u will, but Grambling does more in a year than yall do in Four years. You don't have Greggs anymore. GSU does drill, but they have the originality enough to thrill the crowd in their own way. New Orleans is a Southern bias area. That is why you can't really get a crowd response in the Superdome. I bet yall didn't like it much in Texas.....GSUville. They were split between both bands. But, still, you're a Old head for SU.....even you should be able to confess that it is not the same. Anyway, I give SU credit for being a master of field show and screaming on trumpets. But yall can't give props where props are due. See, Star Wars has numerous fans. Lucas selected GSU......not SU.......GSU. The band got much publicity...meaning more people will want them for events. They didn't get to fighting with LLI or USC.Give props where they are due.

Whatever you say. I checked yall out against TxSU this year, and it was an all time low (real talk). 2005 Bayou Classic in Houston people stopped booing just long enough to ask, "What the hell are they playing?"
No where is the same, heyll when I marched at SU early to mid 90s, it was nothing like 84,85, and 86 (classic years). But we were still the best amongst HBCUs.... Just like now.
All I've heard about *rampax is the rose bowl this year, and..... When SU has represented at the senior bowl (actually got to go to the game too!), represented HBCUs at the Dallas Mavericks HBCU nite, and led ZULU parade for Mardi Gras. When has Grmb played Radio City Music Hall, or played a reception at the request of a sitting President, as well as Inauguration. They turn down the Honda every year, so whoever goes from the swac is really the second and third choice, and numerous BOTB that once SU is there the promoter want to make them the host, or special guest, because its not fair for them to compete (I ain't lying) so you can go on living in that river in Egypt(da Nile). But GSU has never stacked up against the Jukebox, ever.

Presidential Inaugurations: not one but presently 2 presidential inagurations.Yall swear everybody in the SWAC get everything in the SWAC cause yall turn it down. So, JSU got to the NAACP Awards and the 1990 Motown Special cause yall turned it down? PV was on Destiny's Child's "Lose My Breath" cause yall percussion turned it down. GSU actually holds I think 2 victories in the Honda BOTB. Let's talk about Senior Bowls. 1999: GSU was selected to battle FAMU.
Bull....about yall being taken out of competition.....BULL!!! ZULU Parade......Rose Bowl,hmmmm?! GSU has always held up to their invites. Yall were supposed to come to a BOTB in Memphis as a special guest. Yet, the kids were disappointed to find out that they were stood up by SU. When GSU was invited for the Ultimate in Memphis, they showed up. I happen to have the DVD of the TxSU game. You must be listening to who was blowing hardest cause that is what you SU guys are used to. Hmmm, HBCU night at the Mavericks game........Representative at the Halftime Show at the 1994 All-Star Game,hmmm?! So, has Grambling ever matched up to SU....:smh: .But it is only like their motto:they remain"A cut above the rest". I've matched all yall stuff with SU....try harder next time.

that when you are "right" (i.e. correct), there is no need to argue or prove anything further.

The truth of the matter is you could have one hundred polls and ask swac fans, or hbcu fans, or band fans, "Who are the best bands in the SWAC", and *rampax will rank 8th, 9th, 0r 10th.
Be thankful that yall will be forever associated with the Late, Great, Eddie Robinson, who is the only reason people know that a small hick school in the northern woods of Louisiana even exists! Don't get me wrong, a lot of caucasian folks don't know anything about HBCUs except Coach Rob, so we all benefit.... But this is about bands. So you should thank your football teams of the past, that they have made an indeliable mark on American culture and have allowed your band to reap some of the benefits of their celebrity, but thats where the greatness stops. Because if you ask anyone (and what we're talking about here is public opinion) that enjoys Black College Bands they will tell you that *rampax is an average band in a good year, but most years they SUCK!!!
The Human Jukebox is famous because of its works, not A.W Mumford or Pete Rich. Some people only know of SU because of the band. The people who book *rampax only do so because Southern is not available, or they are looking for some black faces to throw in there so they say " Whats that black school that Eddie Robinson coached at? Call them."
The moral of the story is, The World Shamed sucks, always has..... probably always will.

Lies don't care WHO tells them.
1) GSU did the Tampax commercial after if was turned down by at least 1 SWAC school who shall remain nameless.
2) PV was not ON "Lose My Breath". PV performed that, along with "Soldier" for the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show.
3) a)The Honda BOTB is not a competition and there are no places awarded, so how could they have 'won' twice?
b) Grambling has only BEEN to the Honda BOTB once, so how could they have 'won' twice?
