Best Pep Band in the SWAC

And no, I won't let the grampax thing go, because it goes to show the whorish attitude, that yall will take anything for a price, i.e. Rose Bowl out of uniform, Sports Illustrated models with the drum major's stick leading your band (not acceptable at SU), TAMPAX, being a loser in Drumline. GSU's band has done nothing for the SWAC (Eddie Robinson has done plenty). Yall are the anti-swac band with core style marching, white shoes, kettle drums, and tympanis and sh!t. Its nothing about your band that says SWAC, as a matter of fact if someone likes grampax, then they probably don't like the rest of the SWAC. I give it to you, yall are original.... but thats probably because people only imitate what they like.
As far as beatin people up, yeah that happened 10 years ago, and i would hope that it would go down just like that today if another organization attempted to bully and direspect The Jukebox. If an individual wants to put themselves in that position then they should get there issue. Maybe you can push around grampax drum majors and call them *****es and nothing happens.... hey that yall! Turn the other cheek and get hit in that muthafugger too.

That was mighty immature for a grown man. This is why SU is never going to get as much exposure as GSU. Fuc if you think it is because they accept everything, so be it. The rest of the SWAC has said differently. Just cause yall can scream don't make yall the masters of the SWAC. Play a song piano. :saw: Can't happen without yall being exposed. I can name bands who blew on yall ***** this year. (Not GSU based only on song selection) JSU (if you think differently, so be it), TxSU ( that one was funny). Conquer them and maybe you can be head of the SWAC. Yeah, GSU wears white shoes, has a CORPS style marching band (thought you should see how to spell or were you too busy training a future jag to fight), has a rolling bass drum, and has a xylaphone. But, it is tradition. Hutch started it, they continue it. I doubt Greggs meant for SU to beat up one man and produce the attitude that you are instilling in them. GSU has pride, tradition, and a pretty d@mn good band. Of course, since you are from SU, you would say differently, but if yall were a real true to life band, yall would give GSU their due.Man, I'm through with you. The sports illustrated thing was for publicity. This band is built to entertain. Even in Southern-bias New Orleans, they still found GSU entertaining. I don't have to hate on grampax, their performances speak volumes.

So carry on and continue to believe that grampax matters:lol: . I'm sure that there are some people out there that enjoy the world shamed.... I can't think of anyone, but there is always a packed house when the circus comes to town. So continue believing whatever it is that helps you sleep at night, like your Honda BOTB championships:lol: and that other stuff that you never responded to. Just keep talking in circles about nothing and you should get through the next 10 or 15 years without breaking down too many times.

Just remember: Boos are given because people enjoy what you are doing :lol: :lol: .

Which kinda makes me wanna aim this thread in yet another direction:

In marching band, which area carries more weight...the drill, or the sound?Would a band be considered decent if they drill their behinds off but have a weak sound, or vice-versa? What are the fans and bandheads more willing to forgive?


But I digress.

When you look passed the rivalries and the typical SWAC mentality, the reason why folks come down on GSU so hard, IMO, is because (soley on the way they sound), they kinda give the SWAC a bad impression. For a band to be so renowned as a top tier SWAC ambassador, they don't set a standard, and probably lead the public to believe that GSU is the best the SWAC has to offer.

Real Talk, I'd be one of the first to agree. I know GSU's sound is nowhere near where it used to be or where it should be. Yet, these "SU" characters make it seem like GSU just doesn't matter. Yet, at the end of the day, they wouldn't really matter as much if not for the publicity gained through GSU's 64 Super Bowl performance. Also, why is a band that is supposedly one of the most disiplined band programs ever, going out fighting other bands and people. They even go as far as to condone these actions. I love the SWAC. My issue with SU is that they act like no other SWAC band matters. They can't handle most of the SWAC bands. Talk about quality sound, why can't SU play piano pieces? I've heard them play piano and it is actually worse than GSU. No matter what they say, GSU still manages to thrill like they are meant to. Everybody has an off time. Theirs, alittle more than others, but still, musical glitches can be fixed and in GSU's case, should be fixed. Very admirable use of grammar.

Natural born haters. Dude, go to the gym. Atleast GSU keeps the G men lookin healthy. You like you gon go sit in a McDonald's , order a number 1,#2,.....hell everything on the menu. SUcks . Like I said, play a piece piano.
 
You are the only person in here actually defending that "G"arbage shat you call a band. Go fry some chicken or something.
