B say they might perform at homecoming this year. They did last year, and act a azz. Had the afterparty afterwards, rollin in bout 30+ deep, all V.I.P. They had a drunk security guard in the middle of all us while we were outside, bout to get dug in to, runnin off at the mouth. It was poppin that night!!

Dem boyz wild, I think he is going to be doing something this year for homecoming......That "Hustle" and "Got that Work" going to be some hype club bangers....

I still like that "U know Dat!" That's what they performed at homecoming last year. Do they still fugg with Mr. Hanky or is he doin his own thang now?

I know that I haven't seen any of the bands in person this year. I will only see clips. I would venture to say that many of the people on this board are not much more aware than I am. Even if you are currently in a band, you're not going to see everybody this year. So, I would like to offer a suggestion to make it a little more scientific once football season is over.

How about retreating to the various school forums and coming up with the clips of the best show of the year: clips of your band from a single halftime performance and clips from a single 5th OR pregame. The halftime clips and the 5th clips do not have to be from the same game i.e., Boom halftime from Paul Quinn and 5th from Valley.

The contingent from each school would present their clips on the designated date - say December 10. Everybody gets to see the best performances of all the bands and then make an assessment.

Just my suggestion.

Naw, Hanky doing tracks for the Ying Yang twins....I think he still do all of Hall of Fame tracks though...

Drilling, showmanship, precision, aggressive sound, I have to say Southern is the best band I've seen this year.
 
I haven't seen a band since 2003/04 in person.........But those clip of the Bcc. Su game........Southern hands down is the best in the Swac and they went just about everywhere this year to give everybody a shot to take the crown.........Jsu is the only band i've seen hold their own against the Jukebox, Sorry Alabama A&M(I can't believe i just said that, ):what:
 
Alabama State held their own against Southern in Mobile but moral victories dont' mean much. Aamu did not. Im' gonna take heat for sayin this.....but it's true. SU came to Normal and did to Aamu what they did to us (Bama State in83)........wrecked shop and left a lasting impression of all who attended.

Biff doesnt' smack bands. He tells the truth.

The Best Marching is Southern but The Best Show Band is Jackson State University "SONIC BOOM OF THE SOUTH". There is a difference. Marching Band vs. Show Band.:uzi:

Well, who's the best @ BOTH?! I would hafta say SU, cuz Jack State done fell off in the "marching" category.
 
Let the catagory stuff rest. I saw both Jsu and The Jukes GO HEAD TO HEAD. Dont' need a "catagory chart" to determine which was best. If HONORABLE MENTION makes one's day.....so be it.

I never said anyone sucks, but i was just asking the more specific question: Who is best 'over-all?' Who is most consistent at putting on a show AND drilling.....
