I followed the chain of command regrading the complaint...That person was not handled so it goes to step two............................

Several JSU Admins said that he was out of place..PERIOD....
No getting around it....

I gave the man a chance to apologize....
He has not...........He got Hot Headed over something that he can't control.Internet comments....

I have said stuff and so has other people.......and you don't know him like I do.............

I have like you said before...turned the blind eye to alot of things that has been done and said in the past......

They'd be calling my unit trying to have me fragged...............

I have the common sense to know that when in uniform that I must be professional at ALL TIMES........We have to be mindful of MEDIA and people around us that are WITNESSES to any action that we do !!!!!!!!!!

Yes its Liddell's fault if his band isn't marching. A Marching Band is only as good as it's Director.

I think Liddell places more emphasis on playing marches instead of marching.

I disagree - time for Dr. James to go. I marched under Harold Haughton from 1979-1983. Dr. James has fallen behind the times in all of the different areas of music offered at JSU. My daughter is a senior voice performance major at JSU. Her advisor that he hired was a speech pathology major with a master's language arts. None of us knew this until the woman was ready to leave. He and she crippled my daughter in her major. Go home, old man!!!!

as a result of comments I made about the JSU vs SU game....

It sparked a huge uproar...But hey.......People have said WORSE before.......

Fuc even one of my Army Reserve Officers walked up to me and said that he heard the FULL story and said it was a load of crap...

If we acted an azz in our uniforms...We would get repremaned !!!!!!!

Last I heard Blake Gaines was an assistant band director at Morris Brown; don't know where he is now. Liddell's successor most likely will possess a PhD; don't think Blake Gaines has one.

Fans have been talking for years and I have invited them here and the other sites....Some said that they do not want to comment right now because they have seen the lack of disrespect and lack of discipline that some of these new kids have shown. They can not believe they way they are acting online when people give them the REAL constructive criticism.

When Dowell Taylor became JSU's Band Director in 1984 he was about 29 of age! So, there was not generation gap there between band members and Dowell Taylor, Mr. Taylor knew what was popular doing his era. Liddell was about 47 when he assumed the position.
