Before Jesus's 2nd Coming, 90 Percent of Humanity Must Die?! Wow!!

I have been in the minority all of my life. I am comfortable there.

Since when did you become the minority on this board? I thought I owned that banner.

If you read the Bible, you know that Christianity will never bring people together in love. Many will die and spend eternity in hell (which was the original point of this thread).

So you freely admit that Christianity's not working and is a waste of humanity's time? So it seems.

The trouble with your eradication plan is that it requires the annihilation of all of humanity - including yourself. That would make you far worse than than the God of the Bible that you so vehemently abhor.

Who advocates eradication of humanity? Surely not I. I mentioned the eradication of all religions, not all people. There's a huge difference.
The eradication of most of humanity goes hand in hand with the book of Revelation just in case you forgot.

...
LOL. I am the minority in a lot of ways on this board. I realize that I am not exclusive in that regard.

I never said anything of the kind ... and your know this, mayne!

In order to eradicate all religions, you have to get rid of the people who believe in them. That's EVERY HUMAN. I know that's not what you intended, but that is the by-product of what you intended.

Really? In what way are you a minority?

I never said anything of the kind ... and your know this, mayne!

Well, you did claim that Christianity will never bring the people together in love, so what's the use for it other than to mislead folks into thinking that the bible was inspired by a spiritual being?

First of all, a large percentage of humanity has no religion. Second, humans are not born knowing any religion, so humans and religion can be mutually exclusive, just in case you didn't know.
Even on top of that, the biblical god promises to burn every human forever if they don't follow him. That's in Revelation isn't it? How loving. LOL!!

Let's keep this simple: I actually believe what is in the Bible. You do know that documented surveys show that only 15% of Christian pastors in America actually believe in the infallibility of Scriptures. That being true, the percentage among laity is even lower. To extrapolate that to TSPN and to actually read the posts of or many who profess to be Christians here ... Enough said.

The purpose of Christianity is the proliferation of the gospel, reconciling God and man. In so doing, man is also reconciled to man. Simple. What is at issue is that man still has to choose to be reconciled. You (and many others) have chosen otherwise ... to this point in time.

Religion is innate and requires no codification. Humans choose whom or what to follow/adopt/advocate, just in case you didn't know. On top of that, the Biblical God lays out the tapestry and invites EVERYONE to follow Him and relish in His abiding and eternal grace. How loving He is!!!! LOL.

If that stat is correct, I need to give that percentage of people more credit than I've been giving them. At least they have the honesty to call a spade a spade. The bible is nowhere near to being infallible.

What does this have to do with Christianity not being a religion? Nothing. All Western religions try to reconcile their god with mankind.

Religion is innate and requires no codification.

When did religion become innate? No one is born with a specific religion, they're taught it. As far as codification is concerned, the Christian religion is full of man-made laws, statutes and codes. I think you need to choose your words more carefully.

Humans choose whom or what to follow/adopt/advocate, just in case you didn't know. On top of that, the Biblical God lays out the tapestry and invites EVERYONE to follow Him and relish in His abiding and eternal grace. How loving He is!!!! LOL

You just contradicted your previous statement. You claimed that religion is innate, then you say that humans choose whom or what they will follow. Which is it. Are humans born with a specific religion or do they choose one?

As far as the biblical god is concerned, he forces humans to make a choice or face eternal damnation in an everburning fire. You call that loving? If so, then you have a twisted form of love I don't recognize.

I am sure that you know what innate means. I am also sure that you read that I did not say a specific religion is innate. Some religions are taught and still others are dreamed-up, derived...or come from whereever. I did choose my words carefully. There are plenty of man-made laws within the realm of Christianity. The truth of Christianity is that there is one law: love.

Read above. Make sure that you understand what religion is (I have explained it to you before) and what choice is.

You choose not to recognize what has been presented to you. For that you are accountable.

You claimed that religion was innate. No religion is innate, no not one. How you came to the conclusion that ANY religion is innate is a mystery to me. Since you mentioned this, out of all the religions in the world, which ones are innate?

If there's one law of love, then why were so many folks ordered by the Old Testament god to be massacred and violently killed off through no fault of their own? Why are humans to burn in fire forever and ever according to the bible? Is that love?

You seem to not know because you're jumping from one conclusion of what it is, then to the complete opposite end.

I'm no more accountable for man-made fairytales and fictional stories anymore than folks are accountable for not believing in santa claus. You call the biblical god a loving god, yet you can't explain why he sanctioned the burning of humans forever? Is that real love or something dreamed up by ignorant, deluded ancient men who knew nothing about bacteria, viruses, nor the earth's revolution around the sun.

Religion is simply man's first attempt at trying to explain his existence and purpose on earth. Since it was his first attempt at explaining, it's his worst. The bible continues to prove this.

By the way, how long has mankind been on this planet?

Webster's says religion is a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices. Note the "OR". You can choose that which is established or be totally independent of anything that has gone before you. You get to choose, but it is part of who you are. None of the religions of the world are innate but religion is.

Answered repeatedly in multiple threads. Yes, that is love.

Not only have I explained it in this thread but in several others the preceeded it. You don't like it because it does not fit yoru religion. I and most other readers of this forum already understand your position. You are perfectly entitled to it and accountable for it, just as I am. We both have made choices. I will be living with my choice forever.

By the way, how long has mankind been on this planet?
We don't know. We know that mankind has been on this planet at least 6000 years. Our scientific methods have proven to be unreliable in tell us anything that would substantiate some time older.

As for me personallly, I don't really care very much.

You claimed that religion is innate. Innate means to be born with. Where has it been proven that humans are born with a religion? Please provide supporting facts to go with your explanation.

Answered repeatedly in multiple threads. Yes, that is love.

If you consider it love, to penalize a person to burn forever in hell fire, then your definition of the term "love" has to be questioned.
If I can recall, even the biblical satan doesn't have that much hate in his heart where he'd sentence humans to burn forever and ever and ever. Only a hateful being could invent such a punishment.

You've explained a lot of things on this forum, but that's all you do is explain. Your explanations are rarely supported by actual facts. Let's keep it real. You only have "faith" to support most of your explanations, not facts. There's a huge difference between the two.

We don't know. We know that mankind has been on this planet at least 6000 years. Our scientific methods have proven to be unreliable in tell us anything that would substantiate some time older.

That's not true at all. It's been proven by science that mankind has been on this planet for at least the last 200,000 years. Even if you took half of that, that still leaves a number that's many times higher than 6,000.
Now where did you get your 6,000 number from? Is that number derived from faith or fact?

Again, this proves the point that when it comes to actual scientific fact versus what's in the bible, some folks will take faith over proven facts; they'd rather take no logic over proven logic. all in an effort to not go against the teachings of the bible.

As for me personallly, I don't really care very much.
If it serves to discredit the bible, is THIS why you wouldn't care about it? Subconsciously, you not caring may be a sign that you're actually afraid to find the truth for fear that it would cause one to question what he's been taught all these years.
Deep down, MANY know the bible is in error when it comes to history, but they'd rather remain in denial or not talk about it for fear that what they've been taught all these years would be found to be inaccurate.
