Webster's says religion is a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices. Note the "OR". You can choose that which is established or be totally independent of anything that has gone before you. You get to choose, but it is part of who you are. None of the religions of the world are innate but religion is.
You claimed that religion is innate. Innate means to be born with. Where has it been proven that humans are born with a religion? Please provide supporting facts to go with your explanation.
Answered repeatedly in multiple threads. Yes, that is love.
If you consider it love, to penalize a person to burn forever in hell fire, then your definition of the term "love" has to be questioned.
If I can recall, even the biblical satan doesn't have that much hate in his heart where he'd sentence humans to burn forever and ever and ever. Only a hateful being could invent such a punishment.
Not only have I explained it in this thread but in several others the preceeded it. You don't like it because it does not fit yoru religion. I and most other readers of this forum already understand your position. You are perfectly entitled to it and accountable for it, just as I am. We both have made choices. I will be living with my choice forever.
You've explained a lot of things on this forum, but that's all you do is explain. Your explanations are rarely supported by actual facts. Let's keep it real. You only have "faith" to support most of your explanations, not facts. There's a huge difference between the two.
We don't know. We know that mankind has been on this planet at least 6000 years. Our scientific methods have proven to be unreliable in tell us anything that would substantiate some time older.
That's not true at all. It's been proven by science that mankind has been on this planet for at least the last 200,000 years. Even if you took half of that, that still leaves a number that's many times higher than 6,000.
Now where did you get your 6,000 number from? Is that number derived from faith or fact?
Again, this proves the point that when it comes to actual scientific fact versus what's in the bible, some folks will take faith over proven facts; they'd rather take no logic over proven logic. all in an effort to not go against the teachings of the bible.
As for me personallly, I don't really care very much.
If it serves to discredit the bible, is THIS why you wouldn't care about it? Subconsciously, you not caring may be a sign that you're actually afraid to find the truth for fear that it would cause one to question what he's been taught all these years.
Deep down, MANY know the bible is in error when it comes to history, but they'd rather remain in denial or not talk about it for fear that what they've been taught all these years would be found to be inaccurate.
