Well I Heard...............
SOUTHERN GOT MURDERED at the BOTB! Thas' just what I heard though. My peeps that went down (who don't attend any of the 2 schools) said IF it was a ten round fight, the judges would have voted GSU the winner in every one. I even heard SU got booed. That is definitely wild but I will be the judge of that when I get the tape. Hope it wasn't as bad as they said it was but everyone I talked to that was there last night pretty much said the same thing. Good luck to both bands today at the dome.

Didn't look good for Southern but they was still showin Power.
Great Show for Grambling, tight dance routine during the show and they were heard but thru the boo's Southern was felt, if nobody else felt yall, I did. Great job Grambling.

LOL @ this whole thread. By no means did Grambling take this botb's. I do admit Grambling's sound has improved drastically, but it wasnt enough to declare them a winner. SU took the first two songs Straight up and grambling had no answer. Then Grambling began to really entertain the crowd and I have to give it to Gram they made a come up, but after Su did a throwback session where they played "Neck" and "Hay" Grambling had no answer for that. Then the next song "Can you feel it", which was felt through the whole stadium was answered by a Maze song if I'm not mistaken which was then countered by SU playing "And I'm telling you", (I think thats the name of the song) which the singer sung the hell out of. I sat by some Gram fans and they said that SU was in trouble but came back and took it. For those who were at the battle and not taking anyone's word knows the truth. Not trying to take anything from Gram, but I have to refer to my quote from previous years. "Just because this year was one of your band's best years doesn't mean they were better than ours". To thine own self be true, Im glad to see Gram headed in th direction they are cause I actually enjoyed listening to a few of their tunes but some were empty, dry, and plain. Congrats to Gram I am really glad to see your program headed in the right direction and I tip my hat to you. Keep up the good work.

Correction on that we played Let's Get It On. I know you heard b/c the entire dome was singing it. But yes it is true the great SU met their match Friday night and Saturday on the field.

Yeah let u tell it. U don't know my name and In those jeans housed out!! Ya'll Beyonce stuff got booed. Out N.O. rap mix got booed ya'll rap mix got house. After that it was downhill for ya'll. Stand, Neck/Hay, And I'm telling u got endless house after that they started booing ya'll until ya'll played Let's get it on.
When we left out then everybody started to leave. Ya'll have improved but not enough. And lets not talk about on the field. We got so much house from the DM entrance, the score, drill, and the dance routine. Ya'll show was *cricket* *cricket* until ya'll got on the ground. It was a clean sweep again this year for SU.

GSU won the BOTB! Eventhough I took away points for the fact that they were MICed.
SU sounded great without the mics and they were strong as hell, but they just wasn't doing it for me this year. I don't know what it is, but I guess yall just wasn't up for this past weekend. I can understand, because it was Grambling. But them cats wasn't playin' with yall this year.
Why did Doc march yall out while GSU was playing? That didn't look good. Took his gift and broke camp! :smh:
Yall betta come with it in B'ham or Bama State gonna drag yall ass! If you've never seen a B'ham Bama State crowd, you are in for a ruff ride. That crowd will make them out to be the best thing since sliced bread and they might not have done isht to deserve it, but folks gonna swear they was off the chain! We get booed no matter what we do in New Orleans! Every year we get announced at the Battle of the Bands "....And now the World Famed Marching BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! We just get booed even before we play a single note! Thats just being biased and hatefull to Grambling. Im sorta used to it now but the fans can do what they want. I just thougt it was in bad taste for the Jukebox to march out of the dome while Grambling was playing their last song! And to add insult to injury SU played a full cadence that was very distracting and just down right unprofessional! I think it is more people that is surprised that GSU did a great job this year more than anything...SU been doing great for years..
It's like an illusion, you are used to SU doing great pretty much every year so it is expected.... SU just didn't do anything above the NORM from the past 3 years.... Which is cool with me..
On the other hand, a band you expect to come in and not sound like much comes in and sound up to par.... Honestly they were a good match for SU to battle.
It is just funny how those situations work.
Seriously while folks trippen (MIKE) SU don't have nothing to worry about from ASU, SU dealt with them this year....and GSU sounds a whole lot better than ASU.
Like I said in the other form, GSU is in the top 3 this year.... That's being honest, and everyone knows I can be the biggest GSU hater on here, but the truth to the matter is I respect ANY band that sounds good...AND is UP to SWAC standards on the field, which GSU has been doing for a while, they fixed the other element which is the sound, now they are a top contender again... Some more better arrangements and that's pretty much all GSU needs..
But realize SU and JSU BEEN doing this so it is expected from them.
I guess that's what you get for being the LAKERS of the SWAC the most consistant......
I can easily say SU took it to GSU just as well as someone from GSU say they took it to SU...HE!! they took it to each other, that's as real as it gets...
Some of you all need to kill that GSU murdered SU crap, that is folks that is pure ignorant!!!!!!
Both bands sounded real good, it is just that SU always sound real good.
SU left after they played their 2 songs, that is nothing new SU been doing that...We were doing it when I was in the band, we would be marching out while GSU was finishing their "2" songs, which usually turns into 3 or 4...lol
But once again, other folk don't get it TWISTED, the SAME SU that busted ya'll arse this year was the same SU their friday and saturday night, the fact is some people don't wanaa admit GSU is a better band OVERALL than the rest of these bands, I seen pretty much all bands this year, NONE besides SU and JSU is better, and that's not by much this year...

Thank you for that b/c that was all I wanted to hear.
Though we didn't murder them they met their match in my opinion. I never thought I would ever hear you say anthing good about us. But thank you for those nice words and represent for the boot in the SWAC Championship.
