All of these classics are great for OUR people... so why are we arguing again?

I never said the Southern heritage Classic game attendance was bigger I said the tailgate was comprable...Also the CCC is not bigger in attendacne but the event pre-Bell is a 50,000 Draw and is a great time for fans of that classic..Shoot more people around HBCU's have mention going to both the SHC and CCC many times over compared to the MCC..The MCC is a Bama thing and that's fine..Just Like the Florida Classic is a Florida thing..We will have to agree to disagree but the CCC and BC have bigger mass appeal based on the History of the schools playing..
And the Hill post the all time attendance..JSU and Alcorn in Jackson has always been a 50,000 draw in the VET...
Name one home game from any SWAC school that can draw 50,000. Also that shows you how many JSU fans go to the game if only 10,000 showed up during a boycott of Bell..
If that were true, why after halftime the stands are empty @ the mcc. Knowbody stays to the end of the game. The stands are packed @ the Bayou Classic until the end of the game, with the crowd really into the game.

:smh:
I guess some of you will say ANYTHING just to contribute to the thread. If you didn't have anything other than that to comment (or rather, nothing other than that LIE to tell,) why didn't you just keep your comments to yourself?

There was a picture posted last year that had before halftime and after halftime. The majority of the stadium cleared out after halftime.
I thought this was about the BC
Why are we bashing each other's Classics? C'mon yall..smack is one thing but to bash something that is a positive for each school and the overall conference reeks of "crab in a barrel" mentality. Let's give Kudos to all of the schools. I'm hoping that the MCC will someday also have a national television audience so that it can showcase what we have going on in our league.
Ok...back to more Biggity Talk!
once again... you have NEVER been to the MCC... I have been to the Southern Heritage Classic PLENTY of times... I will tell you the MCC tailgate is MUCH larger than the SHC tailgate, so NO they are NOT comparible.
More people that YOU know have mentioned going to SHC and CCC... I will tell you HONESTLY, nobody in Huntsville or Birmingham other than posters on here would know what you were talking about if you mentioned the SHC or CCC.... so yes I guess it is a regional/state thing. I have been going to MCC since around 1980l, the attendance has always been over 50,000.... The 50th annual was 70,000.
You've been to the what how many times..You proved my point..Like I said in my original post each classic has it's own fan base and the rivalries that go with them. You will never get us to agree that one is better than the other..
Oh yeah since you've been to the classic you know that there are so many people in Metro Memphis and downtown that getting around town is a nightmare..Downtown is bumper to Bumper Friday,SAT and Sunday. You can't find a room in the Metro area.
Carry On..
The MCC will never be the "CLASSIC"!!! The Classic is how the BC is identified. When people say the Classic they know. They don't think of the MCC but the BC......
maybe in Louisiana.... not here.... not when I lived in ATL (ATL Classic)... not when I lived in Nashville (Southern Heritage Classic)... and definitely not in Alabama. So I guess its regional.

Lol The bamas are always in competition with the Bayou Classic lol: The Bayou Classic is much more than a football game that's what you bama's don't realize lol and trust that the Bayou Classic could easliy sell out every year :there are many Gramblinites and Southernites that come to the Bayou Classic Events and chose to party and look at the game on big screen but i have a feeling more are coming to the dome this year because of the success of both teams: there are so many Bayou Classic events to chose from! The MCC is only a football game and can't even come close in comparing to the Bayou Classic! Try taking the MCC to another state and i guarantee yall wont come close to 60,000: no one knows about bama st and a&m but i guarantee they know Grambling and Southern, until you all get to the status of these two world known universities then say something then! Yall are so happy over one game but Grambling and Southern are in many classics that come very close to the attendance of the MCC!
EXACTLY...USATODAY!!!
BAMAS, yall have a good classic...ok...we all know that it is very well attended and a positive black college event for people in ALABAMA
your classic is where the Bayou Classic was during the Otis Washington/ Eddie Robinson years when the game was sponsored by Budweiser and/ or Miller Lite...somewhere during the 80s
THE BAYOU CLASSIC is the most popular due to the schools involved, the legacy of Eddie Robinson, the worldwide recognition of each of the band programs, has either of your bands performed a Presidental Inauguration or Super Bowl (no smack, just asking) and last but not least the city of NEW Orleans. Add all of these elements together and the BC outweighs all other classics, please realize this...
NO one from SU, GSU, ASU, JSU, TSU, or PV is knocking your classic and it will be good if it continues its growth and gain national recognition...however just look at the title sponsor for the games right now...FoodWorld vs State Farm. That is all many of us are saying...no hate...we just want to correct you on your delusions of grandeur!!!

Now I know the Bayou Classic is a great classic and atmosphere, but im not going to let you discredit the MCC when you have NEVER been.
ATTN: GRAM AND SU FANS: WILL THIS YEAR'S BAYOU CLASSIC ATTENDANCE RETURN TO ITS NORM? LAST YEAR WAS A RECORD LOW ( 45,000)
Thats the thing, nobody has been but BAMMA's . There are no $20 general admission  Bayou Classic tickets.
