Pettaway has been successful against In state teams... we play UAH, Bama St, Tuskegee, Miles, Talledega while he has been at AAMU. Pettaway has one of the best records of ANY HBCU current head coach now... L.C. doesnt

What has LC Coles done besides beat JSU every year??? I cant believe you get hype over wins over Miles, Morris Brown, UTC, Johnson C Smith.
 
Are you saying that because AAMU can't beat them nor GSU and only beat Southern when they had a horrible year? With that said, it still has zero to do with his in-state record or his record period. Why would a president come in and zip the coach because of his football record in his first year? :rolleyes:

NONE of those teams were the reason we had the best record in the East for 2 of his 3 years.

And funny you say I'm "hyped" by beating Miles and yet you name Miles as one of the teams that Pettaway beat.

And I guess you wanna discard Pettaway's record for this year, and look at what he's done in the past, but it's "DUMB" if folks at ASU do the same with Cole.

And just looking at this year alone, Pettaway aint successful at all.
He's in 9th place, lost at home to a team that was rated as the worst in all of the country, got swept by his top rival, and has lost 8 of the last 9 games to this rival.

Anybody who would call that successful, must be "DUMB"!

would I call this basketball season successfulll... HELL NO...... but Pettaway's 17 plus years speak for themself... Coles 3 or 4 at Bama St leave a lot to be desired.

everytime Bama St name come up in the negative you say "I dont go to Bama St, I go to Ga Tech" so I was just wondering which one you claimin now... It has been plenty of times I instant messeged you and I be like damn what happenned to Bama St tonight (referring to a football game loss) and you be like I dont care I dont go to Bama St. Be down with them all the time or dont be down with them at all.

MH, that is different and I really don't see what dramatic changes LC has made to your program. It's your SCHEDULE. Markham and Dickerson could win 6 games a year with that schedule. Watch LC struggle this year with a fairly decent schedule.

Coles aint did nothing that Cooper didnt do... difference is AAMU folks was smart enough to recognize it. In football you dont lose TWO main games... HOMECOMING and your biggest rivalry. Bama St cant win either of them.
 
but TP,
if you throw out ALL the nonconference games (since they were different) and just look at the conference games, (since they were the same) LC's record is way better.

exactly... they head stuck so far up they ass and they just happy to finally get wins that they dont even look at the teams that they are getting wins against.

What did the A&M folks do. As I recall, Cooper didnt get fired and he lost HOMECOMING and the biggest rivalry.

And do you also fire your bball coach for losing to the "biggest rivalry" 8 of the last 9 times. Especially when you're a "basketball school"

Can you show me where I claim Bama State? :confused: I made a statement about knowing what's going on, that has zero to do with claiming anybody. Nice try though.

Huh? You had a good point until you uttered this statement. yeah right....Cooper was 4-7 and you guys gave him a raise and begged him to stay. So what exactly were you smart enough to recognize?

aint nobody in Huntsville want Cooper here and NOBODY begged him to stay. The AD may have wanted him to stay but that was about all. Cooper began lookin for another job as soon as the AAMU and UAPB game was over... why do you think NONE of his coaches heard from him and he hadnt set up any recruiting visits.

I can still post Pettaways record... its better than the last FOUR Bama St bball coaches combined.... PUt it like this .... I could see Pettaway getting a arena named after him at AAMU before i could see Coles getting a football stadium named after him at Bama St.
